Valjean256
Guys, I need your help in setting the price on a unique pair of Heresy II's before I list them on Ebay. Yes, it's a pair of Heresy II's but they have an interesting pedigry. These speakers were hand selected by Paul Klipsch for friends of his that lived on his street in Hot Springs, AK. In fact the boxes still have the label with Paul's address on them from when they were delivered to his home prior to being given as a gift. Unlike most pairs of Klipsch speakers where the serial numbers are consecutive, the numbers here are off set by one. I was told by the original owner that Paul felt the grain of this Oiled Oak pair was a near perfect match. The serial numbers are 400001 and 400003. The next thing that made them unique was the fact that Mr. Klipsch had a special bracket installed on the backs of these speakers so that they could be hung on a wall. Not high on my list but it"s there. Unlike most Heresy's the speakers are also shielded allowing close positioning to a monitor or television. So how did I get them? A little more than 3 years ago Paul's friend was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and needed to sell the speakers in order to pay for medical expenses. In the original Ebay auction the speakers sold for $1150. They have been meticulously maintaned by both owners. I would hear from Paul's friends for a number of months after the sale but nothing lately. Based on the connection to the owner of company and the unusual modificatios, what do you think I should list them for? I welcome any constructve coments and suggestions. Pictures will be emailed including Paul's address on the box upon request.
Arky
Curious, do you not like the sound?
fini
Although it makes for an interesting story, I doubt the pedigree would add much to the value. Good thing about eBay, they'll sell for what they're worth. BTW, I never knew Paul lived in Alaska...

Heresy prices have dropped quite a bit on ebay....if your looking for an above average sale.....might want to wait thru the summer months.
