Moderators dtel's wife Posted July 22, 2007 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2007 "Up to then an independent speaker manufacturer had done the furniture work for Klipsch. They found the work too intricate and opted out!" from the link posted above. I didn't know Klipsch ever used an "independent speaker manufacturer", but maybe I missed some of the history of Klipsch along the way????[*-)]

ZAKO
The above was a Smith DHS horn on top of a Klipsch bass bin with phony doors nailed to the front...I use Smith horns on my Klipschorns.......License makers of the early Khorns were Vitavox I call them the cadillac of the Khorn makers...And Baldwin was the other maker of Khorn. No they were not to diffecult for these manufactures to make...The Vitavox is sought after to day as a better quality build version useing 3/4 wood through out the horn structure....But the components I thought were better was getting away from the Paul Klipsch design. So he pulled the license. "Go figure" I believe Paul cheap,d the internal components compared to what Vitavox offered.

James RD
I wanted to make a donation to some church, but I couldn't decide which denomination. Isn't Martin Luther on the $2 bill? Or was that the Rev. Moon?
