Hofy
OK this time it isnt me voiding my warranty. JakeJeckel on the ard/Forum posted a link to his site on keeping the amp in your sub cool. If nothing else you get to see what a sub looks like on the inside. BTW, This is c>NOTs> approved by Klipsch!c> Fan Mod for the Sub ------------------ Hofy's Duct Tape Mounting System Support hofmonstr@rocketmail.com c> I am NOT ProMedia Tech Support promediatech@klipsch.com 888-554-5665c>
Paragon
Ah yeah.. the first step in Overclocking you Pros.. proper cooling. However, I would have put a radiator in front of the fan with cold water/antifreeze runnin through it to help get the extra power out of the sub.. hehehe. These are the kinds of Posts I love to see.. nice catch Hofy! /edit damn.. that is actually a cool Idea. OK Klipsch.. how about some cooling for the sub! hmm.. heat = lower bass.. hmm.. Im sure even at the lower level.. it is hell of a lot more than these damned ACS295!
Movie Freak
I didn't expect to see the port facing down/up like that. Very interesting, that guy has some serious BALLS! I love to tweak stuff, but that is some crazy s#*t. I'm curious, does upgrading your sats wires void the warranty? I'd like to know before I upgrade them. If it does I'll just leave'm the heck alone! ------------------ Movies take us to a place we would like to be and away from a place we would like to forget. Paragon
Shouldn't.. not really doing anything to hurt your Pros like taking the sub apart. ------------------ 1GHz TBird Abit KT7A-RAID FOP38 & CuShim Kingmax 256MB PC150 Annihilator2 32MB GTS Intel Pro100+Management NIC Promise Ultra100 IBM 75GXP 45GB & Maxtor DMP6800 27.2GB Plextor 16X10X40A Sony 12X DVD SBLive! 5.1 Sony CPD-G400 19" Triny ACS295

qball
But he fails to mention whether putting a fan in there has any effect, or whether it introduces unacceptable noise levels under normal operation. When you're dealing with audio equipment it's a little bit more complicated than the latest blowhole case mod for your computer. -Q
