tim3
Can anyone advise me on what I should get for a center channel?I'm pretty much decided to go on ebay since the variety is so wide.I run Cornwalls for speakers and an Adcom GTP-600 a preamp.I don'nt have any rear speakers either.Any advice on those woule also be appreciated.I'm running a Bryston for an amp,so I have plenty of power. Chris Elm
How about a Heresy if space allows? One thing to note is that the Heresy is not shielded, so this may be a problem if your TV is close enough. Using a heresy should give you the same exact tweeter and midhorn as your Corns if of a similar vintage. (someone correct me if this is wrong). Also, you can try an Academy if your space doesn't permit a Heresy. As for surrounds, I would go with Heresy's here as well or maybe another set of Corns! mas
Ideally you use an identical speaker to what you have for your LR front speakers. The only exception to this that I know is using a LaScala for thecenter relative to 2 KHorns, as the critical frequencies for voice arereproduced by identical sections. Everything else is a compromise. And if you go a different route, I really can't tell you what compromise is acceptable.

Moderators dtel Posted February 24, 2008 Moderators Share Posted February 24, 2008 I have 3 Forte ll's across the front and what they are saying is 100% true ! A third Cornwall, if it would fit would be perfect, it does make a big difference.
