Iftach Landau
My System is the Synergy (SF2, SC1, SS1 and KSW12). Cable run is Monster. I want to replace my receiver (currently yamaha). Specific models aside, what brand would you recommend to pair with these speakers? I am not happy with the Yamaha combination. I tend towards a Denon or an Onkyo, but read various reviews about the tonality of both, and intimidate horns harshness. In case I will not be able to audition receivers with my speakers (most hi-fi shops here carry UK brands like b&w, wharfedale etc.), your opinion means a lot. Thanks. matthew2
Many people like the Denon and Onkyo recievers with klipsch. A much warmer sound then with the low end Yamaha's. If money is an issue, Technics has some decent stuff for the price, and a pretty warm sound. If you can go for higher end, (Onkyo, Denon) I defenitly recomend it. ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
RobCurran
Agree with Matthew! Onkyo and Denon are thought of as good matches. Mid-range Sony receivers would work well with Synergies too. Do stay away from the low-end Yammies, but the high-end models are AWESOME!!! Just keep that treble flat or maybe "-1" for the Synergies. No bias, LOL!!! ------------------ A/V AMP: Yamaha DSP-A1 TV: 29" Sony Trinitron DVD: Toshiba SD9200 CDP: Denon DCM-370 MAIN: Klipsch Heresey II CTR: Klipsch KSF-C5 REAR: Infinity SM-65 (crap) SUB: Infinity BU-1 (crap) This message has been edited by Rob Curran on 01-20-2002 at 01:47 PM

Iftach Landau
Thanks Rob and Matthew. I will now have to reconsider yamaha, though as both said, their lower-end, which was my experience so far, was disappointing.
QUiKSR20
The higher end sonys have improved I think alot. Ive heard alot about hissing but my STR-DE975 runs great no hiss, enough power and tons of inputs and outputs. its 1 level away from the ES line. It has On screen display 110X5 5 digi inputs only lacks preouts EBAY has some good deals. I have basically the Synergy Setup you can see my stuff in my signature. Just my .02 For the price u get alot with the Sony's If i had the extra money i would of definately went for a Denon or Harmon Kardon I love HK's. But Denon seams to be the favorite here for Klipsche's ------------------ Thanks, Daryl Gregg MY Home Theatre Page Sony STR-DE975 HT Reciever Sony DVP-NS400D DVD SB-3 Mains SC-1 Center Quintet Rears KSW-12 Sub AR Proseries Interconects This message has been edited by QUiKSR20 on 01-21-2002 at 04:03 PM
MBM135
I am considering the Outlaw 1050 6.1 channel AV Rcvr. Outstanding reviews. Runs around $500 but probably similar to $800 or $900 Rcvr. Check them out at www.outlawaudio.com A number of Klipsch fans are impressed with Outlaw. MM
