Cornwall

After being absent from listening to music for a long time, I have recently invested in some decent equipment (See Profile). I have a set of the Klipsch Cornwalls, I am interested in determining the date made. Don't ask me why because to my old ears it can't much better.

CBR, Ser.# 8507840, Removal backs, 3 ports front bottom, mid-range horn made of composite material, I really don't want to remove the backs if I don't have to (afraid I'll screw something up).

Cornwall placement, two trains of thought, in a corner or a foot or two away from walls. Is there a correct answer to this question, or just where they sound the best.

Thanks for letting me participate in a forum where yopu guys know a lot more than I.

Thanks, I THINK I know what sounds good, even when I take my hearing aid out, just turn it up a bit. Any thing over 20 watts will run you out of the room The equipment seems to be setup OK, good stereo seperation while giving good sound stage in the center, with some of the XRCD's really sounds super. From my age 61, guess what kind of music I like.

I do have some pictures, where would I post them and how??

Pictures... hit the reply button, and type something and look at the top row above the post area. You see a tab that says compose; that's what you are doing; next to it there is "options" tab. Click on it and then click on the add/update button. Little box shows up and click "browse" and select a picture from your computer, and hit enter. Then on the right side of the little box there is a button that says save. You may have to scroll over to find it but it's there. Click on save. It will then save it, and the little box will disappear. Then hit the "post" button. and Voila, there's your picture. Best to make sure the pictures are not bigger than about 1200 x 800 in size, etc. etc. Hope that helps. If we see a "El Giganto" Cornwall picture show up, we know you are working on it!! Welcome to the Forum and enjoy that equipment with a nice Cohiba and a cold Sam Adams!!

I have a test disk that really helps

Fender,

What do you use for a test disk?

Chuck..(thumperxes) gave me a copy of his IASCA competition disk.....about 30 short tracks to check for imaging, soundstage , etc...and then ends with a tone generator so I can check the room for vibrations (I think I cracked the foundation of my house with my khorns up to loud [:D] )

Maybe someone know's but there is a site that you can download similar stuff.
