doogie67
They are in better condition than I thought. Original owner since 1980. Hooked them up to my tube Allied 333 ($120) and they sound Fantastic!!! The cabinets are a little beat up and since I am a hobby woodworker I was thinking of making some solid wood (red oak) cabinets. I am also going to get a crossover kit from Crites. Any other suggestions?
fenderbender
You can always just re-veener them...Several great threads here (one with step by step by Groomslakearea51) I'm no expert but I'm not sure how solid oak would effect the sonics of the cabinet? plus bondo, sand and veneer would be much cheeper, easier.... Glad you like your new heresys...wecome to the madness!!!!

Groomlakearea51
Greg's work is superb!!!! Every time I get ready to do another pair of Klipsch, I always re-read Greg's stuff on his website. Here's the link to his Heresy's. http://www.dcchomes.com:80/Heresy.html I would however, stay away from solid wood as it has a tendency to warp unless it's fully cured, moisture content below about 6% - 8%, and you have a drum planer available.
