  1. Hmmm, interesting responses, can't seem to pin point which one will be better or best for the application...hopefully more will respond to this topic before I decide which to place for the rear channel.
  2. Has anyone placed RS3s on a rear center channel as oppose to surrounds?
  3. Dude cool it!!! Klipsch can use anyone as they see fit for their ads and anyone who can afford can buy regardless on who you are. So chill out man!!! and.... yeah!... where is the technical question
  4. Wecome to the forum dude... In regards to your RS3 speakers it is best placed at the side walls of your couch between 5-7 feet off the ground. RS3 has brackets at the back already for easy mounting all you have to do is drill 2 holes at the wall in accordance to the brackets and just hang them then fire away. Enjoy!!!
  5. I suppose RF7 and RSW 15 is out of the budget.... if not go for it
  6. I think its the break-in period, sometimes its the room itself... it might have too much standing waves.... so in high volumes it really gets ear piercing.
  7. I have read that article, in the final conclusion it just falls down to preference, monopole or dipole speakers for the sides or rear, the average concensus was most movie buffs prefer dipoles and music listeners prefer monopole so the question is which one are you or which one do you prefer most. In my case I use the RS3II on the sides and rears I can really feel the full effect of the movie. One thing though the quintets will have to keep up with the reference speakers, I know I had them too I tried to match them when I got my RF3II before its just not the same timbre. Give it a shot and hear then decide whats best for you. Stay cool!!!
  8. Thanks, I thought it could be done in some way, it just so happens I have two already and currently using to power my RF3II.... just a thought that in the future I could use them when I get an SVS sub. I am thinking of getting a 7 channel amp soon but if I can't use the m200 for the sub then I'll just get a 5 channel amp and get a powered SVS. Thanks Dudes
  9. You can try it and hear it for your self it might sound good for you it might not. (Bright) - that is opinion of others. Everyone has different preferences so give it a shot.
  10. Is it possible to bridge two monoblock amplifiers like the outlaw m200 to power up an SVS CS Ultra or any passive subs? If so how?
  11. Def Tech and Boston sounds good as well dependnig on the model but they sound different, you have to audition them and have your ears decide what you really like. As for the Yamaha, they said its a bit bright to match klipsch speakers , other people might have a different take on that.
  12. I had the Klipsch Quintet before it was amazing it killed the Bose accutimass, but thats is just my opinion. Is there anything else you are looking at besides those two?
  13. Yup...thats right PS3, it is expected to come out the first quarter of 2005 it will have what Xbox have right now and more, it has built in eithernet adaptor, hard drive prograssive scan/HD capable and new technology on Graphics interface. XBOX will come out with XBOX2 as well but does not have the new technology of PS3.
  14. Since we got that cleared out...thanks, What do you suggest is a good DVD copier for the computer? In regards to a separate DVD copier component that you hook up to TV or Receiver do they perform the same way as the one in the computer? Will it have the same quality?
  15. Thanks Analogman, STL did come off a little harsh but I didn't take offense by it, sometimes people get too excited explaning their opinions and get carried away.... STAY COOL DUDES!!!
  16. So...does the DTS or Dolby tracks get copied perfectly....I'm sure it would look the same but is the sound the same as well?
  17. Does anyone here copy DVDs for personal use? If so does it copy everything from the source including the Dolby digital tracks (5.1 or 6.1) and or DTS/DTSes? or the copy just gets standard stereo output audio? Any thoughts?
  18. Any more inputs in regards to my que? Thanks to those who posted greatly appreciated.
  19. thanks for the info STL very well appreciated
  20. Since the crossover is 1950hz right? I would like to make that a little bit higher so I can work the woofers a bit more like the RF5s
  21. Has anyone here bi-amped the rf3II with receiver on the highs and outboard amp for the lows? Any inputs? Thanks
  22. Is there any way to alter or change the internal crossover of the RF3II? If so, how? Thanks for your input
