  1. Klipsch take a seriously long time to break in. I hope you enjoy your new speakers. I know how hard it is to find a speaker that is right for my personal taste. And no need to leave the forum we won't stone you to death or anything.

Scary thought, isn't it? ---------------- I let my brother use that cable from schlock and it literally distorted his picture on his tv.

( IC's) This stuff can be bought ( say canare GS-6 guitar cable ) for pennies per foot. Buy some decent cardas ends a bit of solder and a soldering gun and you could make 4 cables for the price of buying 1 and your getting the same thing. Buy your favorite flavour and cut the dam thing open !! You come back here and tell me what you found. Biggest difference in cables is ends and shielding, all of which means nothing unless you live in a RFI hellhole. ---------------- But what if the consumer is not good at soldering or just doesn't want to build one? I totally agree if your good with your hands just like the old saying goes. If you want something done right do it your self.

Straight head to head: Signal 1M digital coax vs. Ultralink Advanced Performance (UDC series) 1M digital coax - same price point (from me, $30.00 + $4.00 shipping anywhere in the lower 48) I'll let you know how it goes. (Either way I'll wager it sounds a hell of a lot better than some RG-6 single-strand conductor cable with phono plugs attached, as was suggested earlier in the thread...) ---------------- Give them some burn in time. About fifty hours for the signal. I don't think you were selling cables on the forum when i was in the market for a new one. If you were i would of considered one from you. But i shopped around and the build quality was top notch for the price. I thought is was the best deal for me at the time and I am really happy with mine. They almost feel like those old wire guard rails when you touch them.
  6. Buy one and listen. You will think 34 dollars was a steal.
  7. I do not no you HornEd, but my prayers go out to you. An amazing story to read hear. I am glad your alive and GOD seems to be treating you well so keep up the good work. Do not put your faith and hope into the possible put it into the impossible.
  8. I second signal cable company. It's amazing what Frank offers for the price. First and for most get rid of that optical cable immediatly. They are crap get yourself a signal digital coax cable for 34 shipped to your home. Amazing difference and steal at that price. This will be your biggest improvement right off the bat. I bet you it will be the best 34 dollars you ever spent on your system. No doubt. Then speaker wire will be the next improvement and you might as well go with signal. Get the digital first and you will being thanking me all the way to the bank.
  9. I think you will be happy with hk. If your not going to crank it i think you did very well for your money. Even if you do i bet it does well.

It's totally amazing what fifty watts of mesa 6L6 tube power can do. I had some greenbacks hooked up damn near shredded them. Actually the pm was for tripod i was just giving you a what's up dude. I got a deal for him if he reads his pm.

  12. evanescensce. That chick sings deep from here soul in a tool like way. I wouldn't really tell anyone about them so why am i telling you guys. This doesn't make sense. No remorse no repent we dont care what it meant. Just give me some Metallica damage inc. ****it all ****it know regrets. Actually a band i just found out about they are not currently together part of blind melon and pearl jam's old drummer i think. Which is unified theory. They are hard to admit to because of his voice or something, but it is good music. Theirs so many i could go on and on but their really not guilty pleasures actually my friends know i don't give a **** what they think off when it comes to my music. I will never let that rule my life anymore trying to impress people. Cool is only one letter away from fool. Nobody's fool by cinderella just came on the radio and it's sounding pretty good. Now that is ironic which is another good song.
  13. Harman is probally the most balanced. The older onkyo 500 is smoother than the new 501. Which sounds really good at lower volumes. You may be able to score one of them cheep. But i am not sure of that harman model. I am used to 75 watts harman power which i have. To bad i couldn't box that up and sell it to ya. That thing weighs like forty pounds boxed up though. It would cost alot to ship and it sounds awesome. Best iv'e heard with my system but it doesn't have an a and b selector for my deck speakers. Which is crucial in the summer for me.
  14. I'm am not 100 percent positive but i think the pioneer is not high current amps. So you would have a smoother sound i would think with the hk, but i am only used to the older ones. Alot of those cheaper non high current amps with high power ratings give you good bass and play reletively loud quick. But they have this horrible distortion in the highs that usually causes listening fatigue after awhile. The onkyo is very good and detailed if you like a little bottom end i would stay away from it. I would go with denon if you like bass. Their is hardly any highs on a denon which i like you can listen for hours without fatigue and their 70 watts is devistating on klipsch. Harmon is very sweet and smooth with a nice midrange quality to it and is very detailed without being harsh. I've been down the same road as you for a long, long time. I would suggest you try to get a better one used. But then their is the gamble. I thought of the pioneer but the reviews steered me away. Plus i didn't find anywhere about them being high current even on their lower elite models didn't indicate that. Hope this helps
  15. I am not selling this anymore. I found that i really like this receiver and for the money i figured i would be better off keeping it. I think i may like it better than my harman for different things. I like how the highs are so laid back that it is almost tube like. My harman is almost sounding fatiguing to me now after getting used to the denon. Which i really didn't like at first because of the lack of highs. Now i find i love that sound i can blast it and have it never hurt my ears. I will just keep both their great. Sorry if anyone was interested, but obviously their wasn't thank GOD. The harman has more power and detail. Both are extrordinary for the money used. The best way to describe them is the harman as smooth with excellent detail, and the denon as warm with almost lack of detail. It's their it is just laid back to give you a different sound. It has incredidable depth on radio stations for such a low cost receiver. I put in my Stevie Ray Vaughn dvd and compared. I think i like the denon better for that dvd, because it just seemed for natural and the tube amps sounded more organic and realistic. But the harman was smooth and belted it out with great detail.
  16. Do you have any gadgets to use like a speaker selector box? So i can pipe speakers out to my deck. Something cheeper i only need like an a and b switch that mayby would handle banana plugs.
  17. congrats on the speakers and your weather. It is like **** in Pa. Winters are brutal dude.
  18. I would whole heartily recomend the synergy line. But they are hard to find now besides best buy. They are more than the reference prices online. I bought mine before best buy and my dealer and i talked about moving up to reference and we both agreed that it wasn't moving up. When a speaker is right for a room it just is. Just because it's more money and bigger doesn't mean it is better for your room. The room probally is the most important factor in sound. I probally would go with the reference bookshelfs of your choice. Mayby the rb-15's. That way you can adjust the height with some stands and get a great soundstage effect. Later ad a sub and this setup should sound good in most rooms anyways.

You can call it pixeling or whatever, but it looks like blockies to me
  20. I have a dish network receiver and dish. And i get what i call the blockies to. Their are these cubes you see on solid colors. Not all the time but their there. That is the first thing i noticed when i switched from c band satellite which to this day is still a better picture to me. I wish i would of never tore it down. Ala carte, boy you didn't have to buy anything you didn't want. I miss that. Except when something broke it would cost you the price of a new digital receiver.

Unfortunately, every last dollar I have right now is being spent on 1) stabilizing the home finance situation, so that I can 2) build inventory and cash-on-hand for my leg of the business. ---------------- Actually it is a good deal it sounds pretty good. I like the way dish network sounds with it. It sounds fuller than my dolby prologic two onkyo 501. Haste makes waste i went and bought another receiver other wise i would be happy with this one. Although i do like the harman better for cd playback.

You may need it for something important. No disrespect Intended although it almost came across like that. I may need to buy something from you LoL.
