  1. Mostly lurk and read. I have RF-3's, Fortes and KSW-12. I use RF-3's for music and Fortes and sub for movies. I read that RF speakers are for HT. I don't understand this. Fortes and other big Klipsch speakers have middle horn like movie theaters so why are the RF speakers for HT? I think RF-3 sounds better with music.
  2. Don't you ever say anything of substance?
  3. That the tube had a short.
  4. If you want to remove watermarks, stains, and light scratches without affecting the existing finish, the best product on the market is Howard's Restore-A-Finish.
  5. Doesn't anyone around here have a sense of humor? Everyone under the sun knows that thing is one of the best ever built. I just can't stand the thought of someone having something better than me.
  6. So which way should a circuit be traced?
  7. "In a Scott amplifier, they work for a short time (<5 minutes), and then develop severe oscillations, at a frequency of 3000 Hz. The tube basically falls apart in Scott application. Don't buy Sovtek 7199's, they suck." "Craig likes to copy my replies from years ago. My reply was directed to one individual, and the opinion of others was that the 7199 tube was no good. Of course, that isn't true. This person bought two new 7199's before he knew about the 6U8 conversion, I merely was trying to state that 7199's are good tubes." Whatever you say, if anyone can every figure out what you are saying. Looks like plenty of people have no trouble with them, looks like they are lasting longer than 5 minutes. Fisher guy has lots of Scott gear rebuilt by Mr. Contradiction. A contradiction in itself.
  8. If time aligned speakers aren't time aligning, then why do they sound so different from other speakers?
  9. Very good vinyl rigs outperform even very good CD players. At this stage of the game the cartridge costs as much as my whole system.
  10. Most spelling errors are actually typos. It's not because I can't spell, but because I'm not the greatest typist. Besides, I only do it on the long posts like this one.
  11. Chill out guys, I thought the context here was butt wiping.
  12. Do what I do. Write your post in Word, spell check it, then copy and paste.
  13. I was being factitious. Given the choices, I would rather wipe my butt with a solid state amp.
