  1. Started on the color today. Koi still needs final detail but you get the idea. Two weeks and he starts on the flower.
  2. Not available from Klipsch. I veneered them.
  3. Yes those are the waterfall buginga Cornwall III's.
  4. What you can't see are the mesh curtains that cover all the windows. These help but the biggest change was adding the acoustic panels behind the horns. It really brought the system to life. So much cleaner and more sensitive. Both pairs of speakers are high efficiency and driven with a 2A3 SET amp with 3.5 watts per channel. Still it can play way louder than you would want.
  5. Some extensive house cleaning had me pull my system apart. Well it got me to thinking about changing some things around. I have simplified the system and still need to put the area rug back in to cover the tile, but I like how it turned out.
  6. Google Liberon Finishing Oil. Wipe it on, let it dry, done.
  7. After a couple of Carl's drinks, you can't help but have a good time. A few more and everyone else has a good time watching you .
  8. I haven't been around here much since the new job. Just popped in for a bit to let you know I'm still alive, kicking and getting into mischief ..... couple weeks before the color starts.
  9. Go to the Amp Camp thread here and go to the end where they talk about the latest camp. I believe it may be an F2. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/215392-amp-camp-amp-aca.html
  10. https://diyaudiostore.com/products/amp-camp-amp-kit?variant=7072933085218
  11. DIY kits built from modules. The costs break down into: chassis, transformer and modules (power supply, bias/output , protection circuit). Many roads to nirvana.
  12. Sorry again, but no me = no sausage. These are tough times. You gotta make some sacrifices.
  13. Sorry but not going to make it this year. Besides being busy, I took a $30,000 pay cut for the new job. This means I need to work.
  14. Sorry guys and gals. I have been out of pocket for a while now. The new job is keeping me very busy. Add to that a couple web site designs in process and several other side projects for neighbors and friends, and there are not enough hours in the day. On the bright side, still loving the Cornwall III's. I have tried them with low power tubes and a little 8 watt class A sand amp and they are auditory bliss.
  15. The party was a blast! Moving a little slow this morning. Need more coffee.
  16. I turn 60 tomorrow. I've never been into birthday parties but decided to go big for my 60th.
  17. About 20 people. I just picked up 10 pounds of Alaskan King Crab legs, 22 lobster tails and 5 pounds of shrimp.
  18. Well if you head out this afternoon, you can still make it no problem. Don't forget your gloves.
  19. And trying out some ribs in our new smoker. I've never done this before, so keeping it simple; lemon pepper and apple wood chips. 175 or so for three hours.
  20. Getting ready for the party, but where is that martini guy?
  21. May your 2018 be filled with Love, Joy and Peace. Have a great 2018.
  22. Good Morning everyone. I hope your year is ending well and that your future it is bright and filled with love, peace and joy. Life is good.
  23. Wish I was closer. There would be fun to play with. Maybe even turn into a home theater riser for seating.
  24. The large speakers are 1968 JBL C50 Olympus. I have modified them so the mid horn and tweeter are no longer in the cabinet. I blocked off their locations (see pic). I replaced the factory conical horn with a custom wood JBL 2397 horn that you see sitting on top of the cabinet. The JBL 2405 tweeter sits on top of those.
