  1. Dean, where did you get that cool beverage holder?
  2. Lascala and F2. They were very similar.....they were both black!
  3. Craig setting up to A/B vinyl vs. DVD (Clapton Unplugged)
  4. "You see, it goes inside right here and really makes these babies sing real sweet" says Dean to Piranha.
  5. Amy, Rather than start a new thread, I will just post my photos here in your thread Setting up for Friday night.
  6. Tom, Nice job. Based on your photos, I think I will go for a light stain to keep a high contrast.
  7. "What they showed us was very obviously proprietary information and since they want us to keep it quiet I will!" Well said, Scriven.
  8. I second the kudos. Trey, Amy and the rest of the Klipsch folks did and outstanding job preparing and executing the Saturday event, not to mention, breakfast, lunch, dinner and a show! THANK YOU KLIPSCH. The emphasis on the Heritage was great IMO, and to get a 'sneak peek' at what is coming was really cool. It was also very reassuring to see that Klipsch has a commitment to the Heritage line. The Synergy room was also impressive. A lot of bang for the buck. My most favorite activity was the A/B blind audition. Many of us had requested this kind of comparison and Trey came through! Did I mention that I had a great weekend in Indy?
  9. I think I will sand mine by hand using a sanding block. Some of the lettering may be a little fragile and I think I will avoid a power tool.
  10. Cyclone, Too bad about your delay. If you get bored, put on your tie, and walk around and flash people the underside! I was very lucky. I was supposed to return to DFW through Chicago arriving in DFW at 11:40. I tried to get the direct flight but it was completely booked. Then just about two minutes before the DFW flight departed, they said they had one open seat. I got home three hours early
  11. That was probably me. I said I would spray paint the front black (flat black) and sand the front. I would start with 100 grit to remove the paint, and then move up to 220 and then 320 before application of stain and varnish. I used that technique for an 8th grade wood shop project (geez that was in 1973) hopefully I remember correctly!

I'm using a 99B for my center Cornwall with a 299D for the R&L Cornwalls. The signal to the 99B is from the derived center out on the 299D. The little 99B has a real smooth sound, and is perfect for that purpose.
  13. Q-man, That is good advice I am sure. My son really likes getting involved in projects like this. I'm sure he is learning more than I even realize. Kids do have critical ears, and when they get accustomed to hearing good quality audio, they can be as discriminating as we are. Yesterday, my 4-year-old wanted to listen to some children's music CD. I started to put his CD in the Walkman with headphones and he said "no" and pointed to the Cornwalls!
  14. Al, Nice graphs, thanks for posting. I wonder if the K-55-M would make much difference? I know that I do not hear a "hole".

I don't think there is any doubt that the K400 horn leavs a bit to be desired! It's been demonstrated many times. Al k. ---------------- Bob, great workmanship on those assemblies . BTW, I decided to remove the Dynamat in favor of the caulk.
