  1. I have some light oak Heresys and would like to trade them for some wood pro Heresys. You know, the ones with the handles on the sides. Anyone interested? GILBERT?
  2. Well, I am working on MANDI'S OUTDOOR THEATRE. As soon as I am finished I will post pics. But I ran speaker wire through the attic, connected to my "B" connection and mounted a speaker wall plate on the side of the house. So I can now move my Heresys outside and just plug them into the wall. I am working on Umbrellas to cover them. Have not decided what logo to go with yet. I am going to have a 100 inch screen. Of course during the summer these will be late movies since we will have to wait until about 9 to see them well.
  3. And just like alot of things, Klipsch Heritage age gracefully. I would love to purchase new, but my wallet would not allow me to fork up the money. As you can see, I hae gone with the Heritage line and most if not all folks that hear it, love it.
  4. congrats, use the Fortes as surrounds. I think it sounds pretty good
  5. thought it would be cool in a gameroom, not really for quality music but to have a good time while playing pool or ping pong. Who knows, maybe we will introduce the kids to a good ole sock hop. Could you not change out the arm and cartridge? This place I found them has several, maybe if they sit on them for a couple of months I can get them to come down on the price. Maybe the kids will pump it full of quarters and I will not have to mow yards in the summer!!
  6. I wanted to revive this because I have found several in working order for about $800 bucks. I thought it would be neat if you could get into one of these and instead of using the speakers in the Jukebox, hook up external speakers. I have not asked if I can open one of the things up. Anyone out there own a Jukebox?
  7. I forgot all about a splitter, thanks that will be the ticket!!
  8. Hey fini, I sent you an email about OM. I have a Pioneer currently and it has A and B but they both have to play the same thing. I also end up having both play in 2 channel when playing both is that not the same with the 3300. How much can we expect the used price of the 3805 to drop each year?
  9. Does the 3300 have the capability of playing multi room and different inputs at the same time. I like the idea of watching a movie from a DVD in 5.1 in the living room while the kids listen to a CD outside from the same piece of equipment,
  10. I know,,,,read the manual. I just am thinking out loud and wondering if anyone else has messed with this. Here is how I am currently set up and I wanted to see what I can do. I am setting up a movie mecca for the kids. I have a DVD player and have it connected to a RCV in the living room and in tne family room/kitchen. I can play a movie and have it playing in both rooms. I also currently have A and B speakers set up on the kitchen RCV so I can have sound outside. NOW, I have access to a projector and am thinking how this is going to work. The easiest way for it to work is still use the sound from the RCV and hook up the video directly to the DVD player (my DVD player would then have to have a third out ). The real question here is, Can I have two video components playing from the same RCV at the same time? I will have a DVD signal coming in, and I want to play it on both the TV and the projector.
  11. I walked into a flea market today to get some hobby supplies and what do I stumble on but a beautiful pair of Heresys. I got them before they ever put a price tag on them. I am swapping them with the pair I had. I will pass on the good fortune here on the forum if my brother does not want them.
  12. I am sure that I have some neighbors and friends that would part with klipsch heritage speakers in a heart beat if they had "aquired" them. There are probably loads of folks tht have inherited these that have no desire for them or idea what there value is. I wish I could meet some of those folks. But the garage sale season is getting into full swing and I know that I will pick up a pair of heritage speakers before the summer is over real cheap (positive energy resulting from positive thoughts here, hehe).
  13. maybe once a week during the summer. I thought about putting grommets in the four corners of the sheet and pulling it tight, but did not think about the wind still rippling it. Hmmm, even a sheet of plywood painted would work okay. It would be centered between two Heresys that are about 25 feet apart and the projector would be about 13 feet from the screen. Should if it works out okay we may use it more than we think. We love grilling out in the summer and eat most of our evening meals outside. Wife thinks I am nuts BTW.
  14. has anyone set up an occasional outdoor theatre? I really do not need great quality video. I am talking about hanging a sheet and pulling it tight and getting a projector from the office. I already have the speaker wire ran and was thinking about running a long S-video wire. Be like having your own backyard drive-in on occassion. I figure I will have to run about 100 feet of cable, 1) what will be my best connection option at that length 2) Will I be able to leave the cable outside and should I design some type of protective covering for the end when it is not in use?
  15. A Trojan Horse is a type of virus. There are several of that type and if you have a virus protetion then you probably did away with it. You remember the story of the trojan hose. The army hid inside. Well, folks hide viruses inside emails that look harmless and when you open them (file of a pic or something) WHAM, you are infected.
  16. I teach Math in High school and stain glass is one of my hobbies. The other being R/C Airplanes(I prefer the building to the flying). I find getting out in the garage and doing glass to be very relaxing. I have done a few projects for people but I explain up front, they will get it when they get it, I am cheap but it may take me a week or a year, depending on how much alone time I need. I almost stopped a job this year because every week the woman wanted to come look at my progress. I told her to go ask a local stain glass shop their prices and then told her to either leave me alone or take it to them to finish. She is now happy but it took three months, but she did not say a word after that day.
  17. was that angel your wife? BTW - the academy sound great and when you are ready to sell those Heresy's you have let me know. I would love to have them and there would be no shipping
  18. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! You do not know how scary this is. We have one transom window in our kitchen that I thought would be cool to do as a seasonal window. So I did a window of a vegtable harvest for the fall and Poinsetteas (sp) for the winter. I was searching for ideas for the spring season and came upon the exact window you just posted and said "THAT'S IT" So I am currently working on a window of that same design. That is just too strange.
  19. should be an easy fix but you would never match the glass exactly, even finding the correct stock number it still never looks the same unless ordered at the same time. Here is a pic of a current project in the works. The large window mentioned above is three of these joined together.
  20. I work stained glass as a hobby. I recently built a panel for a transom window. (94" by 16") When I was finished I was excited about getting it in place and did it myself. Yep, you guessed it, pushed wrong and cracked two or three pieces. I put some thin CA on both sides of the cracks, and unless I tell you or you are just inspecting my work, you cannot see the cracks very well. Get the thin CA at a hobby shop that sells remote control airplanes. It is cheaper there than at discount stores.
  21. this whole thing makes me sick. to have scored belles for 300 bucks would have been awsome. hell, even if he would have turned it around for 900 we would have complained but not hung him. What a jerk.
  22. Envy? I think it is more of a SICK feeling!!!! I think I got a good deal but not this good!!!!!!!!!
  23. "his wife will like the small size." hmmmm, have we gotten them used to this?
