  1. Hi all, I am in Appleton. It's good to see some fellow heritage users from Wi. If anyone is up this way please feel free to stop by. Regards, Roy
  2. Tice power block (used) on Audiogon.com or ebay. Best bang for the buck, aformer Sterofile recco prod.
  3. We have HD service from Time Warner. It seems alright with me. I can just call have a repairman here, a new ect for no addional cost. I am not sure if there is better out there but we like it, and it is not that much of anadditonl charge.
  4. Bruins, I found that pvc piping and some clamps will make a great trailer guide. Really helpful when backing a empty trailer into the drink. They sell a kit at Boat US ect. but you can make one for pennies on the buck. Enjoy!
  5. I have had a Sota in my sytem for many years. A good table. They make a great clamp that IMHO is a must have. Add a good quality arm, and cart and you are ready! The company on the other hand is not easy to work with. Mods are quite pricy, and not a lot info comes from them. When i bought my new TT (5years ago) I lived within 30 minutes of the factory. I asked to come in and see the factory, speak to someone about advise to upgrade to a new flagship Sota. They replied that "we are not set up to operate that way". I bought a VPI the next week. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, then last year I bought a replacement box for the sota from them for $125.00 for box and packing plus shipping. Look for a good used unit, have a good TT guy set it up, and you should have a lot of bang for the buck.
  6. CONGRATS!!!!!! A nice looking machine. You will be happy with the Sea Doo. Have fun, enjoy, be safe. And if you get a chamce to pick up number 2 (you will have the bug) good luck.
  7. I hear ya Artto! I find some kind of perverse satisfation in picking up some these big dollar items, for pennies on the dollar a few years from release. I had better be able to live in it, if I spent the kind of scracth that some of the items wre retailing for.
  8. I have the same experience with my collection. I find myself going to albums that 20 years ago I thought "whats the big deal, theses guys are O.K". Now I hear what I had been missing. Guess it comes along with age. I am hopeing that the same thing happens in reguards to wife #2.
  9. I have noticed that as of late there seems to be a lot threads that are hi jacked. A member ask's for advice or input. Instead of providing useful advise or info, they go off onto a tangent that is sure to cause flame wars. Example: "what time is it"? And someone responds with: How to build a watch, and why the watch they prefer is better than yours. And that pocket watch owners are better than wrist wach owners. A truely sad situation for a site with such vast experience and insight.
  10. Cleve, You state that "we" paid for the EMT responce. Would that not include the operator of the pwc? I know that the $100k plus that we paid in Federal income tax last year most likely paid for many things that I do not agree with, but so is life. Your babble is the same in every responce to this post. Maybe YOU should concider a life as a DNR or F&G policy maker (I am sure another spot is open). Better yet, politics. Fact is PWC are NOT going away. More are sold every year. The waterways are for everyones enjoyment.
  11. And they have Paul Harvey as a spoksman/paid ad. That alone is enough to boycot Bolze.
  12. Most likely forced into the pier by a drunken fisherman. Or maybe a greenpeace wacko, or someone trolling for walleye. Or maybe they found the missing National Archive documents "misplace by sandy Burger".All are possible. But really, you make some absurd asumtions without any facts. Kind of deletes any glimmer of objectivity that you may have had. Again I ask, if you can not help the author of this post with some info that is on topic, why do you start your own "anti PWC thread"? As good ole Forrset Gump would say "Stupid is a s stuipd does".
  13. It makes one wonder if Bose isn't really Frech company.
  14. Tom. Well said. To quote that one guy........ "Can't we all just get along"..........
  15. Bruins, I hope that you are able to take some useful info from those that have tried to answer your post. PWC's are a lot of fun and a useful tool. Don't let the illinformed cry babies get to you. Maybe they should start a post for themselfs "Why I am anti pwc". Check with your insurance company as to what the rates are for different makes and models. Also a Coast Guard or USPS saftey course gets you a discount, and is a basic requirement IMHO. Enjoy and good times to ya!!!!!
  16. Tom, Both understood. The grate seems like something that we need to do. Thanks for the input. It always helps hearing from someone that has tried it already.
  17. Tom, We have a 98 GSX, and a 2000GTX. Love them both. Before that we had the Yamaha 1100, it was a nice 3 place sled but not much zip. Back in 97 had the Kawasaki 750 GT. I am a member of our local coast Guard Aux. We have used the Sea Doo's one more than one outing to search for people that have drown in the river and bay system. The perception that pwc owners are stupid, law breaking, somehow less of a person than sailors amd fishermen is inaccurate at best. Did the stuffer grate help that much improvement. We like it as a air machine, but in choppy water the GTX is much smoother.
  18. For someone that bases thier posts on fact, I am do not see how you missed the info in my inital post. Automobiles, bikes, and play sets ALL kill more folks than PVC's. Maybe you you should alert Ralf Nader, I am sure he could use another illinformed lap dog. A"new poster" is not trying to moderate anything. Only providing a responce to a post asking for input as to WHAT pvc to buy. That is something that you seem unable or inwilling to comprehend. Maybe Tray or Amy can explain the origional question to you. Since when does number of posts equate to relevence of content? I am starting to see why alot of folks don't post or vist much anymore.
  19. LOL, it never fails to amaze me some folks view of themself. MAYBE tighter regulation for those prevayors of fact might be inorder. IE: THE POSTER ASKED FOR TYPE< BRAND< SIZE ADVISE. What part of that do you fail to comprehend?
  20. Develed egss and cole slaw!!!!!!! Is it lunch time yet????????
  21. Cleve, It is almost as annoying as someone asking for advise in a clearly defined post, and having a group of folks submit USELESS off topic opinions. IT WAS HUMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After all we are all guest's here one a audio web site! And yes, why not, now that I think about it. If it annoys you, please feel free to exercise your right to crawl back where you came from. If folks don't want to see PWC's, then maybe you should buy your own lake. Maybe someone is annoyed at things YOU do as well. As for me, we have fishermen motoring into our private harbor, fishing under our docks, waking up the house at 5:00 AM as they crank the motors and leave. But that is part of life. My point is, he asked for advice. If we can contribute and help fine. If not why start another arguement on this site? Remember opinions are like elbows.
  22. Guys, The man asked for help/input for jet skis. NOT what if one dislikes or hates them. Let's stay on topic and try to help if we can. Think a a set of pro medias would fit on a ski???????
