  1. We have had several at our lake home over the past 10 years. We currently have 2 sea Do's (Rotax powered). I would say that they have been the least problematic. Yamaha also makes a nice unit. Within the next 3 years 100% of the skis will be 4 stroke (Fed mandate). We have a 2 seater and 3 seater (can pull a skier, with spotter on board) and really like the abilities of the 2. 2 seater is a great air machine, 3 seater is great in open rough water or for riding little ones. Hope this helps. And enjoy!
  2. I have Klipschorns (71 wo), Corns (79) and a pair of KG 3.5's. The Hertage series are IMHO the best sounding speakers. I enjoy both the Khorns as well as the corns, but the Khorn is UNTOUCHABLE!!!! Thats in all areas. I tell many folks, just pick up a pair of Klipsch Hertage series speakers and YOU WILL BE HOOKED!!!!! I have yet to hear a speaker from the line that is't at the top of the pile for it's application. Horns & Tubes, aaaaahhhhhhh the sweetness. Royster
  3. Milt, Where did you pick up your veneer? Did you square cut or miter the corner contact points? Roy
  4. Welcome back! I hope you are recharged and ready mto go. How is that long horn sound in your system? Regards, Roy
  5. Wow, the same price as new! I suspect that he may be related to my X WIFES family
  6. I have had Compaq, dell, hp, IBM over the past 10 years. They all have ups and downs. I liked the IBM, and the compaq the best. The coustomer service at Dell is the worst I have ever had to deal with. Bought the wife a Dell hand held puter to replace her Palm III, she missed placed the manual. Contacted Dell to purchase a new manual, and guess what NO CAN DO! You can down load and print the pdf file for free, but they will not sell a replacement manual. So much for compact size. IBM, and Compaq both had acceptable coustomer service according to out IT geeks. Good luck and choose wisely. I have heard many bad stories from Ebay lap top purchases. Hope this helps. Roy
  7. I have never listened to the reference line products. But I would point out one thing. APPLICATION!!! That is something that alot of us forget about. The model name, or series name mean nothing to me. The proper product for the APPLICATION means alot. I have khorns, cornwalls, and kg series product and they are all in a different application. As a "horny" my passion is for the Heritage line, after all they were decades ahead of thier time when PWK finished the first one, and they are decades ahead now (IMO). Enjoy the product, upgrade as you can, and remember APPLICATON!! Roy
  8. As many of you know, I picked up a set of corns for a great price. The orig owner "finished" the raw birch. He basicly stained and varneshed them (looks like do do IMO). I want to do a proper job in bringing them tolife. Any experiences, advice, info or other? The serial numbers are 19T152 & 19T155. regards, Roy
  9. J.4, i only read and speak english.
  10. AK, I am glad he has did a good job for you. I am sure his product is a good option. That is why there are many other options in a free trade world. I did not respond to Arttos post to complain about bad service. I only wanted to provided my run in with his delima (ie: to upgrade or not). I did not mean to sound harsh, but the facts are the facts. That is why i bought the BEC product. Al, If mulitiple emails are "not trying hard enough" to contact you, then you are right, I did not try hard enough. With that in mind I am glad the transaction or lack of was a blessing. ALWAYS is a pretty arrogant statement when replying a guy who tried to work with you. For a supplier to take that position with a potential coustomer (who sent the email) is quite a new twist in coustomer service. I can only say that I would not have coustomers with that kind of policy. As I said before, I am sure you make a good product. But I will not beg or chase someone to buy there product.
  11. That post was inresponce to BEC networks. That being said, facts are that there was never a responce, so I purchased the BEC networks. That is the beauty of free trade. If service is bad then one can take there buying power elsewhere. I am sure AL does a great job. But MY attemted transaction was less than responsive. FAR FROM EVERY POST AS AK-4 states. But 100% agreement with the BEC product!!!!!
  12. AK-4, This is the first post from ME reguarding the responce or lack of from AL. It is not a stand alone statement, but a statement of fact describing MY personal experiences with this matter. I really DO NOT care what YOU are tried of! Even if it were a case of addressing it in every post, how is it YOUR job to pontificate to another GUEST of this site? I responded to Arttos post with info based on MY experience. If you don't like a responce then don't read it. Good luck on your quest Artto. Roy
  13. Artto, I was at the same point you are a few months ago. My 71 khorns had the orig. AA networks. After reading many posts here I decided to invest into some new networks. Keep in mind that the orig networks sounded fine to me (guess you don't ntice a gradual dcline in performance. I sent ALK and BEC both email asking for quotes and input. I bought a pair of AA networks from (Bob) BEC. 9I would loved to have tried the ALK's but I have to this day NEVER recieved a responce to 4 emails and 2 phone calls. The result was WONDERFUL, it was like taking several blankets off the speakers! Bass was tighter, and imaging was just awsome. I still need to get my stock AA's in for rebuild. Good luck, I know it will be a good investment into your system. Roy
  14. Sorry fot the delay in responding. Puter had a virus (WHAT A PAIN). Well Ipicked them up. They were still owned by the original purchaser. He refinished (loose term) them a number of years ago. They were birch (raw) and he stained them oak. I plan to do a real refinish job. Great shape sound great, all orig components. Serials are 19T152 and 19T155. Rock, stop by for a listen when you have a chance. Roy

  17. I belong to a number of forums, and they ALL have rules. Seems to me that the folks a Klipsch have invested alot of time(money), manpower (money), and yes money! All into a site that WE can use for free. If we wish to USE thier site' WE should behave as the GUEST that we are. If someone doesn't like, or disagrees with a thread, keep it polite and clean! I for one would hate to see such a great site turn into a playground.
  18. Yep, thats them. Thought the snipers were going to miss the boat, but added a $100.00 in last 30 secs. Seller has been real good about answering questions, so feel good now. We will see if it holds after pick up. Royster
  19. Well, Just added a pair of cornwalls to the collection! Was a local pick up in Gary, IN only auction. I will make the 4 hour drive down this week end to pick up the first part of the new HT room. Just wanted to share with folks who get just as excited as me about the Heritage line. Royster
  20. I just watched the NORA JONES LIVe (house of blues NO) AWSOMMMMME!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Hey Rock. I am in Appleton. Good to see another horn fan in the area. Royster
  22. BIG BANDS make BIG sound! And BIG sound makes BIG fun! Throw a couple BIG girls in the mix and what more could one ask for?
