  1. Hi Whatever, it will initially be Founders and Khorn Members for the first week. Then the next level members for another week, and then we will see where we will go from there. You should join as a member and share in all of the fun about the history of PWK, this collection of audio gear that became the Klipsch Museum of Audio History, and now the run by the Klipsch Heritage Museum Associaiton, Inc. Your membership is tax deductible, and there are a lot of nice benefits. You can look at the membership levels at klipschmuseum.org. We have levels running from $20 all the way up to $2,000, monthly payments and one-time annual payments . Travis
  2. That is my recollection as well, but those prices are from 10 years ago. You would know way better than me, going from memory.
  3. Bruce you are absolutely right. He built two clones with Roy's approval and guidance. There is a picture of them in Roy's office on a plaque that @rigma presented to @Chief bonehead as thanks. Rigma also built his own amps and his own preamp. Rigma got this "bug" from his father. There is an awesome thread on hear about 10 years ago that Rigma started where he posted a newspaper article about his father building a set of Klipsch speakers from a kit and/or plans in the very early '70s. Marion is like @dtel, you can hand him a stick and say "i want you to build me a house out of this" and he can. He and his wife Becky are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.
  4. Marion, @rigma the Zen Master of Jubilees. 5.1 Jube system. The only thing he is missing is an 1802.
  5. Oh, and while we were there Roy hand drew out a schematic for another type of crossover, steeper slope (Zobel?) and @mikebse2a3 proceded to build one with parts in the lab while @Trey Cannon helped him find some parts not right handy. @dtel is 100% correct. 300B Set amps with NOS WE tubes.
  6. LOL. Those are @rigma From design by @Chief bonehead Search jubilee and crossiver and then filter posts by member rigma There are a few threads on these he started, back in about 06 or 07.
  7. Roy designed a passive for Jubilee, it is pinned and up here somewhere. You have to live with the time alignment issue. @mark1101 has experimented with this extensively and can tell you his opinion about passive vs. active with time delay, and analog vs. digital crossovers.
  8. I found the Klipsch Permanent Instalation brochure for this version of KI-396 I will attach in pdf, and I have the cut sheet.
  9. Working on that too. Every member will get a price list, set of general photos, with follow up photos on anything of interest. Travis
  10. If you haven't seen it yet, Klipsch has donated about 25 speakers from the KPT and KI line to the Klipsch Museum of Audio History to raise funds. EDIT: We are pretty much sold out except for the 6 684 Subs. More details can be found here: List of speakers and prices are attached. Price List Speaker Sale 05012018.pdf In you are looking for 684s in great condition at a great price shoot me a PM. Travis
  11. Update: Membership link for Museum: http://klipschmuseum.org/membership We will be in Hope next Thursday and Friday to unpack, photograph and physically inspect all of these items so we can start posting photos and get them up for sale right away. The news just keeps getting better from Klipsch. They found two pairs of Black Heresy III speakers. Looks like they were hooked up once by a commercial customer and they went with something else more appropriate for their application (attaching to a wall maybe). Anyhow, we will be looking at those as well and the Officers of the Association will figure out how they are going to handle those as well. More to follow. Travis
  12. We have an additional building we just acquired out at the airport in Hope. We also help the Paul and Valerie Klipsch Museum at Klipsch School of Engineering at NMSU by loaning and rotating speakers to them, and we also have a museum annex at Klipsch HQ in Indianapolis. I will ask our President/Curator, and before his retirement, official Historian for Klipsch, Jim Hunter to see if that speaker fulfills a gap or need in the collection, and whether he has any information on that particular speaker. If it isn't a good fit for the Museum, he may also be able to help you out on pricing. Travis
  13. You just didnt know how to buy it right. Either that, or you weren't in the right place at the right time.
  14. I was just really waiting for someone to say that bought it for 8 cents a gallon in Texas City.
  15. Show off. That's lowest I have ever heard
  16. The former, former, vs. the ladder I bought for a buck.
  17. Now we are talking. The drive from the Bay Area to BC is a must do. Geting a great pair of speakers as part of that deal is pretty tempting.
  18. I bought a gallon of gas once for 28 cents once. Here is my take. People can talk about what a great deal they got on Klipsch speakers, but nobody is going to come close to @garymd deal on a set of pristine Khorns, so you are spinning your wheels on trying to gain traction with that. He didn't rob a widow, he was at the right place at the right time. He started his on thread about it back at the time. He didn't try and equate that insane deal as to what real world pricing was everytime a pair of Khorns came up for sale, or a WTB Khorns came up. So here's a thought, we could look at what the OP is asking for help on and focus on that. Lot of great responses on that. Don't we have a thread somewhere about "what I got today"? I don't think there is a problem with commenting about something listed elsewhere, whether it is Ebay, CL or Agon. If someone lists something here it is a whole different story, there's rules don't ya know. @beezbo Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your search.
  19. Yeah the cheese and chocolate are pretty popular. It's like Franklin BBQ, get in line early. Three of those 396s with 2 684s, or one 884, will cure your problem instantly!
  20. YES. The items can be picked up ahead of time, or if you are coming to Pilgramage you can pick up at that time. If you know someone coming to Pilgramage we can try to Pony Express them back your way. Travis
