  1. I'm not exactly sure how you make the connection there, Bill. Maybe you had all this on your clipboard and needed to dump it somewhere?
  2. See Jay? Another example of south of the Mason-Dixon line living. With fans.
  3. OK, I have constructed a scenario where this might work. First you need an airtight or near airtight room. Then run a fan with some electrical issues so that it produces a lot of ozone. Now ozone is good way up in the atmosphere, but bad to inhale a lot of. Now add in someone with a condition like asthma, really bad asthma, and maybe that person could die? I don't know, it's better (for me) thinking that I have reached a new plateau of the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
  4. Sadly, many old people die during heat waves because they won't open the windows and turn on a fan because of some idea about "drafts." Edit: Jay, get a real quiet fan......
  5. To clarify my first comment Jay, I meant in the southern United States.
  6. I wasn't trying to insult your family, just that anyone growing up in this climate should know better. It is truly the dumbest thing I have ever heard to this moment in my life. I sit here in awe of the moment.....btw, my education is nothing to sneer at either.
  7. Or maybe there is just more oxygen south of the Mason-Dixon line?
  8. They clearly did not grow up in the south.....That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard...
  9. Engineered to taste good? To quote Marge Simpson "the secret ingredient is salt."
  10. Absolutely! Hot sauce cures bad food AND the common cold! There is always at least half a dozen different sauces in our cabinet. Don't leave home without it.....
  11. Speaking of three.......... Dan Jenkins in one his novels writes about the 3 rules of an old man. 1. Never pass up a chance to go to the bathroom. 2. Never trust your first hard-on in the morning. 3. Never trust a fart.
  12. The short answer on whether fm is worthy today is no. There are some good stations depending on where you live, but for my money an old transistor portable, receiver tuner, or car radio is just fine for listening to sports broadcasts when you can't watch the game on tv.
  13. I have enjoyed my Forte II's slightly in from the corners, toed in so I can look down the throat of the horns in the sweet spot, and with the passive radiator a foot from the back wall. This is in my smaller listening area than yours. Play around with positioning and find what works.
  14. Yes Clarence we've all been very busy just logging in. Actually there were a couple of really reliable hamster years of access not too long ago. welcome back!
  15. From all the clues, it has to be Enter the Dragon - Bruce Lee. I've seen it but don't remember that line. Added: The other line that KelA put up was from Crimson Tide. OK, so here is a new one: "Size matters not." You are right Sputnik. The line comes near the very beginning of the film as Bruce is tutoring a student on the path. After that Braithwaite recruits him for the job. Your quote sounds like Yoda from the first Star Wars movie.
  16. Close, but older......you are on the right track, relatively speaking......
  17. There's still the Neil Young post by Matthews that no one has named.....
  18. At this point in his career, the general public had no idea who he was.
  19. Later tonight I will throw in the towel and let someone else post a challenge if this goes unsolved.
  20. Hint: the genre is martial arts. More hints: Chuck Norris has a small role.
