Klipschorn's - need some opinion please

Hey guys, I mentioned to John on the Audiokarma site that he might be able to use the different taps on the autoformer in the networks to adjust the sqwauker level to the other drivers. With the AK4 can he do this? I think with his room and some treatment for early reflections he would reduce the brightness. Greg -
If the venue would have not been changed he would have been found GUILTY!!! Greg

If it were true then I guess I would not be surprised at all, just a bit frustrated with our gov. and the way things work.I quit thinking about this stuff years ago and this article kind of flamed the issue for me. Greg

Hello, Welcome to the forum. My impression from the Audiokarma site was you were auditioning the K-horns.I am a LaScala owner and have little expierience with them. That said could you please tell us more about the room you will be putting these in.I believe that the room you heard these in was less than optimal ie.hard reflective surfaces and not much to absorb the refections(bright) vs. the home envirionment with will usually sound better in that aspect. Also a 14ft spread between them is not optimal. If you purchase them and hang out here these guys will get it tuned for you. There is too much knowledge and expierience on this forum for any other result. Greg -
JM, Thanks for your post. I guess anyone can spread info on the internet without proof, guess my mistrust of our gov got the better of me. I would be interested in your further investigation. Greg

oh I'm sure there is enough blame to go around and as usual our gov.is inefficient as hell. How about the bids submitted, why were the lower bids rejected? probably some variables we dont know of but what a waste,if I pay taxes for this sh!t then I reserve the right to ***** Greg

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I remember the first time I heard Cornwalls in 78' at the local audio salon.I was in highschool and the salesman put on some Heart/Magicman.You would have though there was a sub in the room.I instantly fell in love with the sound.Fast foreward to 86' when I got out of the Navy...went to the same salon and to my dissappointment was told the Cornwall was no longer made.Never heard of ebay and finding a used pair didnt work out so I ordered a pair of LaScala's...been stuck there ever since, not a bad place to be imo. Someday I hope to finally get a pair and put some Magicman on! Enjoy,Greg
