Hello Forum Friends, Depreciation ? well for me I call it a hobby. When the next upgrade comes along I sell the old so I can buy the new. I would not even want to even think about my loss on selling the old in the last 20 years LOL. The last 11 years I have worked in the industry and still have lost. Although I am very impatient when it comes to selling and try and put what I think as a quick sell price and try to sell it on the first day on Audiogon. Rich

They look great Mike Nice Job!! Would you mind sharing what you used to trim around the 402 and what kind of plugs you used to plug the holes on the 402. I want to definitely get some of them and plug the holes. It looks a more finished look. Rich

Hello, I bought two pair of MWM-s recently. I disassembled them getting ready to repair and refinish them. One set with matching serial numbers has K43s in them and the other set also with matching serial numbers had the K43 Es in them. I appreciate your help in answering my question. Rich

Hello Forum Friends, I returned from Dallas today and bought another pair of MWM-s. I was very lucky and have a lot to be thankful for in finding them at least somewhat local. What happened was two friends in Dallas 18 months ago bought four of the MWM-s from a pro audio company that was dis assembling an old theater. I bought one pair from the gentlemen last weekend. His friend only wanted to sell one of his MWM-s. That was not good for me since I wanted at least two matching pair. In the course of the week the gentleman changed his mind and called me and asked me if I was interested in the other pair. Needless to say I left at 4:30 AM this morning and returned at 10:30 AM with the other pair. I am going to refinish and repair and make them look like new as possible. I now can have my La Scalas back and use them in another room. Take Care, Rich

That is great dtel that you have your system up and running they sure are beautiful MWM custom built oak MWM bass bins ! Mark 1101, jbsl and I were measuring Saturday. I would have a cabinet maker make a 24 inch x 24 inch x what height I decided to set the 402 on to bring it up more if I am only going to use one each for right now. I would paint it textured black to match the MWM -S bins Rich

Hello, I will get the room back up an running this week then you can come over jbsl. I am implementing the new DSX Audyssey front wide channels in my room. dtel did you get your new system up and running? I don't know if I will take the MWM-s to a cabinet maker for a bid or not? I might be patient and wait for another pair for sale? I was working on the MWM-s yesterday they are in rough shape lots of scratches etc. I am picky on how things look. I spent 18 years as a body shop manager. I feel confident I will be able to get them close to new looking. I will definitely be using one pair of MWM-s with the 402s for now. I had a nice talk with Bob Crites the other day. He summed it up well. In my room two MWM-s would be plenty but four would be incredible. Rich

Thank You davis419b for letting me know that the MWM-S were available.Forum member jbsl and I left at 5:00 am and got back to Austin at 11:45 we did a Dallas marathon. Hello Dr Who Thanks for your input on using singles. When I get them I will be busy painting them filling in scratches etc. Then they are going in the house. Hello Forum Friends, I have the XTi 1000 amps. When I get the MWM-s in my possession ( I have a deposit on them). I will need to talk to a forum member on the phone to talk about what I need to get next one thing for sure is two more MWM-S. I am just learning about the this. I can learn more from the telephone. I can not call Knoxville Tennessee anymore my wife is going to start looking at the phone bill. The phone calls to Knoxville is how all this madness started LOL Rich

Hello My room is 15 x 18 with 8 foot high ceilings around 2,200 cubic foot of air to move, pant legs flapping etc LOL. I will get another pair ASAP. What I am going to do first is take one to a cabinet maker. I will try it disconnecting the La Scala Bass bin and connecting one each to the 402-69 horns for the heck of it. Question is do I use the same program that I have for the JubScalas. Or use the program for the MWM. psg I hope I can stop at 4 MWM-s. It all started with about two phone conversations with Coytee the two out of about 10 conversations is what got me thinking about the MWM. His conversations have really put a dent in my hobby fund after Saturday I think it might me in the negative. I really appreciate everyone's opinions This is a great forum Rich

Hello Mark1101 are you saying one MWM-s per 402-69 horn would work until I find another pair? I am going to get a pair of MWM-s this Saturday. I got to start some where LOL. I am going to restore the ones I am getting. I will look for another pair or build two more if the cabinet maker does not charge too much. Rich

On a Scale of 10 stars it is at least 5 stars better in sound quality than my Khorns. The Jubilee top with the program that was developed to download into my XTI amps has everything to do with it. IMHO. The more I listen honestly the star rating could go up LOL. I am really enjoying some old Cd's of mine. Rich

Hello psg, Good to here from you ! Thanks for the compliment you have a very nice system also. For the LaScala II to fit under the screen. I took the top off and put it on a metro shelf. The LaScala II bass bin is setting right behind it. There is a 8 foot x 4 foot alcove behind the screen so the bass bin is about 1/3 of the way in.. There is only one LaScala II bass bin for the center. You can not use the Khorn bass bin I was advised against this because of too big of a hole in the frequencies. Thanks, Rich

Hello forum Friends, I have the room all back up as of late last night. I have been enjoying all my old favorite Cd's today. I can not believe how good they sound, just when I thought the Khorn was the best speaker on the planet. I would rate the JubeScalas in my opinion as the star rating goes 4 to 5 stars higher in sound quality compared to my Khorns. They sound that good. I am going to implement the new wide channel for the heck of it. It is supposed to be better than 7.1. I have never really thought that much of 7.1. I will use a pair of AW-525 in black on the side walls. If they sound good I might build some pedestals for the Heresey IIIs Rich
