Oh yes I LOVE Lucinda and have all of her Cd's!! But none of them are HDCD encoded.

As you can see I have a pretty good collection of HDCD titles. This is why I want to purchase an HDCD changer to fully get the most out of these discs ( If they really do sound better on HDCD chipped players). I don't know why most of the HDCD releases were on country albums but there are some great ones on my list. If anyone has more titles they know of please post. Thanks.

I forgot to mention that another reason I'm leaning towards the HK is that it has Burr-Brown D/A converters which should mean good sound. For $164 I am thinking maximum bang for the buck.

I don't buy my HDCD's anywhere special. Oddly enough the majority of the ones I own are Country releases from the mid to late 90's. I also purchased the Deluxe Edition of Frampton Come Alive yesterday which is HDCD encoded. I noticed the Denon changer with HDCD also but have also heard negative reviews of it too. I am leaning towards the HK mostly for the great looks of it but also because it is about $130 cheaper. When I have the time I will list all of my HDCD discs I own.

I am thinking about buying this for the HDCD capabilities since I have about 75 HDCD encoded discs. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have read in other forums that there are reliability issues with this model but I hope HK has corrected them by now. Or does anyone know about another CD changer with HDCD? Has anyone had listening experience with HDCD and if so is there really a difference? Thanks.

This unit would also make a great Pre-Pro as it has preamp outs for all channels and all the latest surround modes.

I am selling my 8 month old Yammie 5860 with a 1 month old XM plug and play antenna. It is absolutley like new. I am selling it because I have just decided to get back in the 2 channel game and want to use the funds for a turntable. I am asking $250 plus shipping for it firm. I am leaving in the morning for a week long trip home to N.Y. state. If nobody here shows interest I will Ebay it next Saturday when I return. I am sorry but I don't have the ability to post pictures at the moment but I guarantee it is perfect condition. I may be interested in swapping for a nice condition vintage turntable.

I have the 2.1 AND the 5.1 Ultras. They have no competition in the PC sound game!! I love them both!

I am thinking about either going with RB-81's or a used pair of vintage Klipsch for my newly aquired Rotel RX-603. They will be used for listening to classic rock, country, folk, and jazz music on. Any thoughts? I do like good bass response.

I was also looking at the Pro-Ject turntable too. Which one has a better cartridge? I have been out of the 2 ch. game for a long time so I'm not sure about that. Also I'm still hoping to get more input on the receiver . I feel like I got a great deal on it given it's condition.

I am getting back into the world of 2 channel audio! I just won a Rotel receiver # RX - 603 on EBAY for $62.00 . It is in pristine condition. It is a 1976 model that retailed for $440 when new. Anyone familiar with this model have any comments on it? How does it compare to other vintage receivers such as Pioneer, Marantz, and HK twin powered units ? Well I watched it last night. It was an entertaining but certainly not a great film. Some of the special effects were a little over the top. Naomi Watts sure looked gorgeous though!! While it will never be one of my favorite discs I will surely get it out at least once a year to watch or use it for a demo disc. Worth at least a rent.

Anyone buy this yet ? I bought the 2 disc set at Best Buy yesterday despite reading mixed reviews on other forums. I have expectations of at least a descent movie with a great soudtrack and good special effects. I am a little dissapointed there is not a DTS track though. Any opinions?

I saw the movie in November when I went home to NY for Thanksgiving. I loved it and I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the DVD ever since. I have to say the DTS soundtrack is great, especially on the musical performances! I am also pleasantly surprised that on the special edition the deleted scenes are fully produced and in 5.1. Overall a very nice package and is one of my favorites in my collection of about 350 discs. Highly recommended!!

Last week I bought Neil Young's Prarie Wind - the 2 disc set with the 96/24 high resolution recording on the 2nd disc. It is THE BEST sounding disc I have heard in a long time! I cannot quit playing it. I am going to get his greatest hits 2 disc set this week as it has the same 96/24 recording[] on disc 2.

Good review! That is one of my favorite music DVD'S.
