Correction: Consumer Reports stated that "Sony and Hitachi" stoped making plasma TV's for the home consumer. Panasonic is still going strong in the plasma market. My local Walmart was selling the new model 42" Panasonic Plasma TH-42PX6U for $1294.99, they sold out quick.

I purchased the 37"PANASONIC PLASMA because it had the best picture quality in store and it was on sale $1197.99. Standerd Cable TV looks surprisingly good and DVD's look awsome with simple S Video cable. Glare is not a problem at all! Will picture be better using HDMI cable from HDMI DVD player? I cannot imagine.

After looking at several flat panel sets today, the Panasonic Plasma TH-37PX60U was clearly the overall winner with digital satellite service (HD and "non" HD channels). But risk of burn in damage from Playstation 3, high watt usage, and screen glare give me second thoughts about buying. This TV is on sale now for $1197.99 at my local big chain store. Would you buy?

Buy receiver with "1080p" HDMI technology built in. There is a difference between 1080i HDMI vs. 1080p HDMI esp. if you have a true 1080p TV. Receivers with state of the art 1080p HDMI technology cost around $1000.00 US dollars. Expect prices to drop much like 1080p Flat Screen TV's

XBox 360 with external HD DVD delivers signal in 1080i. 1080i is inferior to Sony's Playstation 3 1080p signal.

Consumer Reports stated Sony and Hitachi will stop making Plasma TV's for the home consumer. The future LCD TV's with LED backlighting will be better than the current LCD's and Plasma TV's.

I would sell only well respected brand names like Klipsch, Sonus Faber, B&K, DENON, SONY, Samsung. At one time I really liked walking into HI FI Buys a.k.a. Tweeter and just looking at the fairly priced top quality equipment and then eventually buying. Tweeter now sells the cheaper junk much like the big chain stores. But I think now is a bad time to open up a Home Theater business. I would wait for the new technologies (1080p, Blue-Ray, HDMI, HDTV, Sony Playstation 3, etc.) to take hold and prices to fall. Consumer Reports stated "flat panel TV prices will fall another 20% soon".

Klipsch demoed all of their speakers with B&K equipment until they purchased Aragon. My two channel B&K Pre/AMP sounds awsome matched with my Forte 2 speakers. The loudness button and remotely controlled tone controls will really wake up your Khorns!

I agree! R30 sounds awsome with my Klipsch Forte 2 speakers match with my B&K pre/power amp. But on my tube system it does not sound as good "very hot and bright sounding".

Watching the Academy Awards really helps use choose. I would have never thought about renting Capote, Crash, and others if I had not watched the Academy Awards.

David Gray's new Life In Slow Motion CD sounds very refreshing and different. The music is a little laid back but verygood. I like most all songs on the CD especially Hospital Food.

I listen a lot more now since I hooked my small Sonic Impact class T poweramp to my computer driving my stand mounted Concertinos. The sound is warm and imaging is awsome while seated in between the speakers on my computer. Very enjoyable.

Lots of times I'd wish I should have cancelled. Lots of bullcrap out there.
