DrWho - I must admit I have a very limited amount of experience in the audio world. (However, that is a problem I hope to remedy.) I'd have to say the only Klipsch products I've ever heard are the RF-35, RB-75 (maybe it was the 35, I'm not sure), and some stuff from the Synergy series. I regret to say I haven't heard any of the Heritage speakers. As for what I'm comparing to, I don't know that I can say I'm comparing them to anything. When I listen to speakers, I can't say that I compare them to what I've heard before. I think I more of hear them for what they are. I've heard the Energy and am very fond of them. I also heard an older pair of Wharfedale speakers and liked them. Sorry for posting misleading information on the efficiency. I didn't catch that. CTP - As much as I like Energy stuff, I'm not sure I could pass up a chance to get some RF-7. But I'd have to listen to them side-by-side first. Let us know what you think, for sure! audiobliss

As for CTP's attitude...I totally agree with Triode. She has not been a troll in anyway at all. By CTP's posts, I don't need to personally know you or talk to you to see your attitude and take a stab at your maturity level. However, you are just 15, and no one is perfect at 15. Just don't be confrontational and judgemental. As someone else already said, your elders have had a lot more experience and so know a lot more than you. If for no other reason, that's a good enough reason for you to show them respect, whether you agree with them or not. Now, back to speaker suggestions. I would personally look at something from Energy. I've always liked their speakers. I know someone who has a pair of the Energy Connoisseur C-9 and is using a tube amp to power them and is very happy with the results. 3 - 6.5" woofers, 94 db efficiency, +/-3db frequency response of 31Hz to 23kHz. Just to throw my opinion out there (and I'm aware that no one asked for it and that most won't agree)... I'm personally disappointed everytime a good speaker company comes out with something like this. When Polk came out with the I-Sonic, I mourned. When Klipsch came out with the iGroove, the same feeling swept over me. However, I didn't mourn. You see, I already associated Klipsch with the Bose/JBL/Infinity/whoever-else-you-want-to-put-in-here category because of the multimedia stuff. I just see all that as being on the same level. I personally think companies like Polk, Klipsch, Paradigm, Wharfedale, Energy, etc, etc, should just stick to making nice speakers. I guess if they need to make the cheaper, 'convenient' stuff for the non-audio-inclined to make a profit (haha) I'm ok with that. Just as long as none of that affects the other line-ups (which is pretty much impossible as it would at the least take money and R&D time/manpower away). Anyhoo, I would just prefer everyone associate the name Klipsch with the Heritage and Reference series. I personally wouldn't even mind if they dropped the Synergy line. audiobliss *puts on flame suit*

Mark Knopfler - The Ragpieker's Dream Why Aye Man A Place Where We Used To Live You Don't Know You're Born It's not crazy bass, but for it to be a beautiful song with lots of great guitar and vocals, it sure does have a ton of bass throughout most of it. Delbert McClinton - Never Been Rocked Enough Miss You Fever Why Me Pretty much same as Why Aye Man. Great song with some great music, and a lot of punchy bass (if you've got it turned up - like I do right now ) Paul Simon - Negotiations and Love Songs 1971 - 1986 Slip Slidin' Away The Cool, Cool River Not as much as the others, but there's an appreciable amount of punch on the bass notes. That's really all I can think of at the moment. Oh, and this is all 'musical' bass that should come through your speakers. I'm assuming you're not talking about the really low stuff that should come through the sub.
