So. Tell us about the bass. It has to be in your face.

This is very old by Bruce Edgar. However, it sticks with me. Look at page 13 for quick....if interested. https://volvotreter.de/downloads/Edgar-Monolith-Horn.pdf

Dave. Just a reminder....I like your curve. Just adding points for thought. Full reflector would look "something like" this: Not saying do it......just a point

Neither fitted for the application. It was a test to show one with a low extension and the other with a higher mass roll off. If that doesn't show up as an advantage on the Curve....then its the horn. Not needed. For discussion only.

Thanks for the image. So that isn't a full reflector.

It has been a long time since I put data in Hornresp.....I gave up on it years ago. Claude does it all the time and his turn around on curve predictions are pretty quick. However, to show you a drastic difference in woofer loading difference in your application and mass roll off and such...... Claude could load these 2 woofers in Hornresp and show 2 different woofers that one is for low end advantage and the other with higher extension. I'm not trying to create work here but your or Claude. The FR result has rekindled my interest in this thread. This was a cool build and result. https://www.eminence.com/speakers/speaker-detail/?model=Kappalite_3015 https://www.eminence.com/speakers/speaker-detail/?model=LAB_15

I think the curve looks pretty good. The dips/cancellation after 100Hz aren't as bad as I predicted. Also for an LF (not sub) horn, you have great "matching spl" from 100hz down to about 35Hz without that typical rolloff. Your long horn and big floor space paid off in that regard. Dave, I can't remember, did you put a reflector at the turn in the back? It would be nice to see the FR extend to the higher frequencies. jc

Looks better than I expected. Good low end considering the position these speakers are in. The base cabinet doesn't appear to produce horn loaded material after 300 Hz
  11. This sale is on Hold. I won't be available for shipping. When time permits, I will take the amps out of the cabinets and sell and ship in original shipping box. Either here or Ebay. jc

OK. Well not 300 Then Running curves can be a pain........ so hope the requests done overburden you. Can we see Bass bin alone with no EQ? Is this in a corner with a high ceiling? By the looks of the curve, looking like the horn loaded benefits are wearing off after 300Hz and after 400Hz, may just be a 15" in a sealed box.

using 1133 mid? Cross at 300-400
  15. Are you unhappy with your La Scalas...? or just ready to move on?
  16. """the midrange driver lagging the tweeter and the bass bin lagging the midrange.""" Well, whatever the cause is and what it is actually called, is very appealing to my ears. Sounds can literally travel from one channel, to me or behind, and back to the other side. At times like a "plane of sound" in front of me that is amazing. I don't do drugs. If it is an anomaly..... ok. but feel Lascala is best at it.
  17. To this day, I have not heard a Klipsch speaker that has the imaging and "3-d" that a Lascala has. I'm not including clarity and dynamics.
  18. Roy IS NOT the co-patent holder of the Jube bass bin...as there is no patent. You guys are arguing over slang.

Yep. I still use it. It does not do near what REW does, but if you want simplicity of getting a FR......a snap.
