Justin- I have a single IC-800 lying around here (looking for a mate, BTW), and the mounting depth is about 3 3/4", which works for 2X4 framing and sheetrock. I'm sure, then, that the 650's would fit. Regarding using ceilinf speakers in the wall, that's purely an aesthetic (or athletic) decision. fini
