  1. looks like three misfires trying to post these for sale...I made the notification about the database error issue in the Klipsch Website and Forum Info section... this one seems to be working... Bill
  2. Enjoyed the review...no worries on the sliders and the bass will come when you have better walls for the extension...enjoy them Bill
  3. I removed the links and got it to post but the three with the data base error need to be removed when you can... Bill
  4. Database Error in the Garage Sale section... https://community.kl...klipsch-kg-55s/ Bill
  5. I am downsizing and placing some equipment for sale...reluctantly. Currently I'm looking only for a cash sale, no trades (downsizing ) and would like to keep the sales local...pick up in the Chicago suburbs...Riverside/Brookfield/LaGrange area... McIntosh MA 6200 Integrated Amplifier...75 wpc into 8 ohms/100 into 4 ohms...this one was bought about 10 years ago and gone over by Audio Classics...I've been using it this last week and all seems to be running fine. This comes with a reprint of the owners manual and some paperwork from the update...also included will be the proper regular Walnut case with working panlocs... I have seen these going in the $1599 area (Audio Classics and elsewhere) without the walnut, panloc case so I'm asking $1500.00 with the case for this one...it is in very nice condition, no damage I can see on the glass but some of the bulbs are a bit dimmer than the others (see darker pic) but all works as it should. Next is an Outlaw Audio RR2150 retro Stereo Receiver...this has 100 wpc and allows for bass management so you can use a subwoofer if you choose...also the front panel allows you to hook up a iPod or similar device for other music... This includes the original remote, AM and FM antennae...it has some marks on top but nothing scratched into the metal case nor any dents or dings I'm aware of...works great but just isn't getting much use...these sell for $699 plus shipping new and B-Stock, when they have them a bit less so let's try $450.00 for the Klipsch Forum price...I believe I have the original box and manual too for this http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/rr2150.html Lastly is a pair of nice KG 5.5s in black (vinyl wrap not the earlier painted black)...these are solid, no resonance and sound great...I have added Bob Crites titanium tweeter mods but have the original that I can include if you like...these have a few minor handling marks but are more than presentable...say 8/10 being overly critical...Klipsch Forum price would be $350 for these...nice sound and great bass for Rock music or as part of your Home Theater...no boxes, just speakers... KG 5.5s were the King of the KG series and were the most expensive of the KG line befitting their sound... http://www.klipsch.com/products/kg-5-5 Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to get back to you with an answer... Bill
  6. I'm getting this error in the Garage Sale are for my sale McIntosh MA 6200 Outlaw RR2150 Klipsch KG 5.5... https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/163682-mcintosh-ma6200outlaw-rr2150klipsch-kg-55s/
  7. I have 3 Heresys across the front (Bob Crites Tweater, Crites upgraded Crossovers) and they sound better for Home Theater that the KLF-C7 and the Academy or Academy with a popbumper'd upgraded crossover that I tried before it... I found it was less important for the surrounds to be Heresys and mine were replaced with KSP-S6s... Bill
  8. getting strange responses from the Forum on posting this... Bill

  11. The Watco seems to have left the finish nice and smooth and not having raised the grain...although they were only just done about an hour ago and I rubbed them with an old cotton sock afterwards...thus far, I think the Watco will replace the BLO recipe' but honestly...they smell like they are the same thing... Bill
  12. I've just used Watco Rejuvenating Oil on a pair of Walnut Oiled Quartets and a pair of Oak Oiled Chorus lls as well as the Walnut cabinet for a McIntosh MA6200 Integrated Amp...other than about knocking me out with the fumes (well ventilated next time for sure) they look great...I can't say better than using Dr. Bill's formula (not me Bill but member Dr. Bill) of BLO and Gum Turpentine but the Watco was all in one and about $6 bucks at Home Depot... I also did the top of a Mahogany Dining Room Server and the four wood numbers for my address attached to the front of my house...everything looks great and I am careful with the items I used (fire hazard)... Bill
  13. well the designer is Craig (NOSValves) and he is a member here...plus, there are MANY very happy owners of his product on here... http://nosvalves.com/vrd.htm but I agree, it may be best to go directly to Craig who makes himself very easy to get ahold of... good luck lotus mark... Bill
  14. I would NEVER ship McIntosh without using one of their boxes...pay for one of their boxes (you can still get them for anything they have made) and try Terry DeWick in Tennessee IIRC... Bill
  15. Are you sure the letter isn't an R???...the Klipsch plates with the lines through it were a three year wonder weren't they??? (1978)... Bill
  16. Is that you Dodger???...if you know Dodger, you may know why I ask... Bill
  17. it was already mine...she was just using it...ah...now I get eth2's response...thought I took advantage???... Bill
  18. I thought so...some people buy cars to get from A to B and some to go somewhere... Bill
  19. ...she wanted "the heavy thing" replaced with something lighter weight for moving around... Bill
  20. I just got back from my sister's...she is getting things ready to move into her new apartment and thought she might get better use in her 2 channel listening if she had a remote... I might be able to accommodate her with a Panasonic XR-25 digital receiver that was all the rage some years back...light weight and has a remote if I recall correctly (I haven't used it in some time)... She said the deal only works if I take back what she has been using for the past 8 plus years... A McIntosh MA6200 that I bought from Rowe Audio Photo Video back when (through a hook up with my buddy Dodger - remember him???) and next went next to Audio Classics for repair to like new and then on to me... Seems I never made the love connection with Klipsch and McIntosh back then (I know...horrors ) so it moved on to her... Now it's back with me and after a little dusting it is running Dire Straights on a Cambridge Audio Azur 640cV1 and through my Crites upgraded Klipsch Quartets...and it sounds pretty darn nice this time 'round... Did I do all right in the trade back department???... Bill
  21. Payment received...thanks...looking forward to meeting you when you come to pick up your new Klipschorns! Bill
  22. these appear to be sold then pending funds... Bill
  23. Matt (ReckerTA)...the choice is to you now...yay or nay... Bill
