If you were to search teh BB.. you would find that many people make new cables for the Pros at about 16 guage and it helps teh sound a lot.. If you have it set to 4 Speaker.. the sound will be duplicated from the front channel to the rear channel and thus be like having 4 front speakers. Listen to Metallica - One.. on 2 front channels - if you close your eyes, you can imagine the helecopter going from left to center to right with no problem.. Michael Jackson - Thriller and Men At Work - Dr. Heckyll Mr. Jive also have good left to right footsteps I think the center channel is mostly used for dialogue in movies so I am not worried about it

Ah.. sorry, I didn't see that. The thing with the Quint center, is that it also has 2 Drivers and it is also meant for a HTS so not meant to be that close. I will be happy with the 4 speaker setup and the wonderful Imaginary center. I could see using the Quint center at greater distances, but ya might be better just getting a regular Quint sat <100W max> and ampin that. Thought I would help some of you out. I did some exploring with my ACS295 and in order to hook up a 2.1 as center , you need to: 1] Make the center/sub output got to both channels 2] Make sure Bass Redirection is not selected 3] Make sure Digital output is not selected 4] With this setup, select Digital output in your WinDVD or PowerDVD program I am not sure how good the Bass from the 2.1 will be - not as good as with BassRedirection selected but then you would hear the front/rears through your center channel. NOTE: The 2.1 for a 6.2 setup will probably not get as much bass sent to it as it is meant to and the sub will be somewhat useless - you will be using your 2.1 for its sats. With this, the best thing would be to have a seperate center and sub - both powered and the sub having a crossover and then select BassRedirection. You would have to split the center/sub out into 2 mono connectors. Make sure your volumes in windows are set low and use the Pro amp to do the amplification. See if this helps. Use Glue on the joints along with screws.
