  1. I've meet two really nice guys from my area that I met here that are members. One let me listen to his RF-7's and Klipschorns, so I know what the sounds is like from the two, he's a really sweet guy, and another member here helped me move my RF-7's when I moved, also a very sweet guy, they can validate I'm who I am. Thanks guys, I haven't been on the Klipsch forum in a long time lately due to a hectic life this past year.
  2. Hi Sunburnwilly, Thanks, I remember you. I would love to hear what it sounds like with all those Belles going at the same time you have. What a nice setup, you must have a large room for all those Belles.
  3. RTTR, Sweetie, I'm not calling you names, what I meant by NAD is that you probably just prefer the NAD equipment. You might want to take Stereophile on, they say Rotel does have detail. jpm, Sorry sweetie that it didn't work out for you. I'm just happy to report I haven't had any of the problems you had with your RF-7's, thank goodness! I disagree, the RF-7's have plenty midrange here on my setup. I'm completely happy with them. Maybe it would have been cheaper for you to try DeanG's crossover change first to see if that would have helped. The Highs are very smooth and pleasant on my RF-7's and no I am not running the DeanG xovers. Happy to hear you have found something that works better for you sweetie. I'm not trying to imply you ran junk on your RF-7's but once I took the Sony Amp off my setup, it changed things around 100%. Shame you had a bad experience with the RF-7's because it sounds to me like you want to bash the product now since it didn't work out for you. Such is life, huh!
  4. RTTR, I disagree with you! Rotel do not lack detail by far, maybe your pre-amp was the culprit. Many reviews rave about Rotel's sound quality and detail. I think maybe you are just a NAD. jpm, as said many times in this forum, the Klipsch RF-7 are just ok with some equipment, but to get the very best out of the RF-7's, you are going to have to put something really good with them and they will really give you the very best. I know because I started out with an amp that didn't do it justice, now I'm very happy with mine with the Rotel RB-1090 and Rotel separates I have. I've heard the Klipshorn and RF-7's side-by-side on very good equipment and the RF-7's impressed the heck out of me, and still does. Too bad you didn't give the best to the RF-7's to get the best back, they really are worth it, atleast for me. I didn't discover this until I got rid of my Sony amp that I thought was good and that Sony amp cost me $1500.00 and it just gave the RF-7's crap in and crap out. The Rotel RB-1090 really changed it into a shocking and breaktaking sound system that shock any body that hears it when at my house. I really feel for you jpm that you didn't get it where it could have been, Sorry sweetie!
  5. I can't speak for the new Rotel digital amps because I haven't heard them yet but to my understanding of the new line, they aren't really digital, they are Class D amplifiers that are not digital, they are PWM. Rotel calls them their Class D amplifiers, but Class D does not stand for (the D) Digital.
  6. I use to own Martin Logan's, Summits a ways back. I've been running for some time the Rotel RB-1090 amp, Rotel RC-1090 pre, and Rotel RCD-1072 CD-Player with the Klipsch RF-7 speakers and all I have to say is if Jay doesn't think this setup couldn't stun him in disbelief, don't know what would! This is the best setup I've ever had and I will also follow up to say that Rotel does indeed go very well with Klipsch and a known fact it's a great synergy if you just read the Rotel and Klipsch forums. I did my review about it a long time ago, and I'm still happy with mine! Kathy
  7. I'd rather have a Widmer Hefeweizen instead! Pass me one please.
  8. nicholtl said: "pass me that beer and shut the hell up" [] No, don't anyone shut up, I think it's great we can read and share here. I love reading others experience.
  9. I'm using a Rotel RB-1090 amp and Rotel RC-1090 pre with my RF-7's for two channel only. My sisters husband is running a Rotel RB-1080 amp and Rotel RC-1070 pre with his RF-7's (two-channel only). Rotel and Klipsch go very well together. The sound is very sweet, smooth, and detailed. We are in bliss with this combo and it's very impressive sound quality. We are very pleased with it and we are running only the RF-7's in two channel, no sub, lots of good clean bass, no DeanG mods and it's very smooth and sounds great with smooth highs, not harsh or bright at all on our ears. Just absolutely LOVE the sound! My sister's husband started with the RF-3's and then moved up to the RF-7's and we by far over-all prefer the RF-7's. It's no secret that you have to give the RF-7's what they want to sound absolutely stunning! If you do, they are well worth it. The Rotel equipment does it for us. The RF-7's are very special speakers but you won't hear it until you give it very good equipment to do it. Yamaha and Denon are often strongly suggested not to use with Klipsch because of the bright nature of those amps. I still have a Sony amp and when I tried it on with my RF-7's, it just about ruined my ears with it's shrill, harsh, and overly bright sound that was piercing to the ears and the RF-7's sound horrible with it, but on the Rotel RB-1090 it's a big difference that is stunning and leaves us shocked at it's great sound that we even like better than the Klipschorn's! OH MY! Now I've said it! The bass is tight, clean, taut, with great slam on my Rotel RC-1090/RB-1090. There is no muddyness at all. The speakers just disappear and let the music seem like you are there, living and breathing it, taking it all in as real, as if the singer is there in your living room. Family and friends jaw drops every time they here these RF-7's and say it's sound so real that it stuns them and the quality of detail, they all want the same setup. One friends husband just finished setting up the exact same every thing that I have now and they LOVE it. I can't say enough good about this combo, can you tell! I was worried when I moved if the RF-7's would still sound great, they do, but the bigger room they used to be in, they really could breathe and sounded huge in that room. I wish I had a room that large to put them in again, but I am happy they sound great here too. Good Luck and enjoy! []

  11. Thanks every one. Yea, everyone here is a hottie, well except for maybe the guy at the door in that picture! What you call his own person.
  12. Capote does look a little terrified with the divine Miss MM.
  13. I've read great reports about Rega products, would love to hear them for myself, but unfortunately I haven't found anyone carrying them locally for a demo. I'll bet that warm sound does sound great with the RF-7's!
  14. Wow Klips, you're a cutie! I should say handsome. Your a handsome guy, nice to put a face to your name, the avatar was too small to make out before. The new one looks better!
  15. Oh my stars! What has happened to the politeness here lately on the Klipsch forum? I can't believe Frzninvt actually said that to you and he's in his 40's.
  16. sunburnwilly, thanks for the kind words about my picture, very sweet of you, I meant to thank you sooner! Thanks!!!
  17. Now be nice sunburnwilly, we are nice and respectable people here. What is it with you and KlipsDude anyway? I saw your other post about the RF-7's with him. I agree with him about the RF-7's. They are stunning speakers with the right gear, I have them too and love them. The Klipschorn and La Scalas are fine speakers too. Lets respect each other for our "personal choices" after all we all have in common that they are "Klipsch" speakers. You both just need to respect each other in that regard. Both great, both just different. The RF-7's are more refined and not as in your face as what you prefer. I'm running my RF-7 with almost 400 watts per channel and the sound is very outstanding, I'm very impressed and very happy with them. I've read great reviews over the internet of users using the Carver Pro ZR1600, enjoy your new purchase!
  18. Yes, Rotel goes very well with the RF-7's. I've read claims that it gives a stunning sound quality, mine included. I see Rotel RB-1080 and RF-7 more than I do the RB-1090 and RF-7. I'm using the Rotel RB-1090 and Rotel RC-1090 pre, very happy with the sound combo with the RF-7's. You can check out the Rotel forum over on the www.htguide.com/forum where there are Rotel/Klipsch users who report being very pleased with the Klipsch/Rotel combo sound. Good luck!
  19. My RF-7's say Hope, Ark. and signed by a couple of employee's in Hope. The quality of the RF-7's are a good build quality. Yes, the wood ven. is over MDF and not solid wood as sunburn's willys thingy Belle's are, just to point out so I don't have sunburnwilly bragging to me about it!
  20. As we use our computers right now, most are all made in china now. At work, all the computer mother boards have "made in china". It's very hard to get anything these days that doesn't say "made in china". I have quite a few electronics in my house that say "made in china" such as, microwave, clock-alarm-radio, digital camera, web cam, CD player (Rotel), DVD player (Sony)(Panasonic)(Rotel), Amp and PreAmp (Rotel)(Sony), Food blender, Food processor, vacuum cleaner, Tiffany Lamps, light sensors, electric shaver, dimmers and light switch, and some others I haven't remembered. I've had some for years still working fine with no problems. I haven't had not one problem with any of them, knock on wood! Hope that I don't! I do understand the concern for giving China too much power though! In that respect, I feel the same, but for the electronics quality..... China has proved themselves to be good to most of the World.
  21. I think she has something. She has the attractive looks that would get a man's attention. She plays the piano well from what videos I've seen her in, which surprised me since I did not know she was playing the piano in her music until I saw her on video. Some of you may feel she lacks personality, I don't know much about her, I do have a couple of her CD's, and I do like them, but when I saw her on video, my first impression was that I think she is a little shy. When people are a little shy, they tend to hold back some, which some may mistake it as not having personality. I know quite a few shy people that do not lack in personality but only appears this way when around a crowd that makes them nervous, or stage fright of what some performers call it. We live in an age when you aren't sure if someone has talent or not with how the record companies can really mask things, you can tell Krall is really using her own voice without enhancements! The music industries sell sex-a-peal more than talent it seems of the late.
  22. I have the Rotel RT-1080 FM Tuner. It retails for $500.00 and it gives CD like quality sound, wide soundstage, great detail. It out classed my more exspense one that I paid $1500.00 for a few years back. I've been happy with the Rotel. I was shocked it sounded better when I A/B the two but could be newer technology since the other is a few years older??
  23. Yes, I have the Rotel RB-1090 and I'm very pleased with it. It can do low volumes very well and sounds great, even Stereophile did a review on the RB-1090 and said that they got that first watt just right, where it DID NOT have the low volume listening problem that some amps suffer from. You can go to the Rotel website and read the reviews there under -Introduction - Product Reviews - Amplifiers - RB-1090 Amplifer. Or go here: http://www.rotel.com/reviews/reviews_rb1090.html I can't speak for the RB-1080 since I don't have that one but I've heard many good things about it as well. The RB-1090 is a mono design so when I listened to both the RB-1080 and RB-1090, I could hear the difference and picked the RB-1090, it was worth the extra money for myself to justify getting it with the more detail and better sound that I heard. Some have posted the difference in sound between the two over at the Rotel forums of what they heard when upgrading to the RB-1090 from the RB-1080 and was very pleased with the upgrade. The Rotel forum is here: http://htguide.com/forum/forumdisplay.php4?f=20 Many people have reported how well the Rotel and Klipsch go together, saying the sound is very stunning and I have to strongly agree with that. I've been very happy with mine. The RB-1090 goes new for around $1600 to $2000, and used for around $1000 to $1400, depending on condition. They are hard to find because it's reported that many people are very pleased with them and they don't come available too often on the used market. You can try: www.audiogon.com www.ebay.com www.audioasylum.com www.audioreview.com goto classifieds section or your local or surrounding areas at: www.craigslist.org Look to the right and pick your area, look under the "for sale" section and pick "electronics" and do a search for "Rotel". Many people forget about checking craigslist.org or don't even know about it but it's a good place to go for your local areas and there is a lot posted since it's free to sale / buy from there, unlike ebay or audiogon, so many people use it. The extra wattage is a very good thing with the RF-7. Some people don't understand this but they won't understand unless they had the RF-7's but if you want the best midrange, bass, and just the best overall that the RF-7's can do, you will greatly benefit from the RB-1080 or RB-1090. Some say 200wpc min. for the RF-7 and I can agree with that from what it gives back so well for the RF-7's and you have to hear it for yourself because no one will understand this unless you experience it for yourself!! Yes, the RF-7's greatly benefit from 200wpc or more..... if you want the very best back from the RF-7's can do! I tried less amps with different results that just didn't give back what the RB-1090 does for me. I posted a review of my Rotel and Klipsch here a while back. Good Luck!
  24. Go with Rotel, you won't be sorry! Rotel goes excellent with Klipsch, better than the Carver/Sunfire will. The Rotel is worth it and gives one of the best quailty sound you will be very addicted to.
  25. Rotel goes very well with Klipsch. You might want to try the Rotel RB-1080, it's 200wpc. I'm very happy with my Rotel and Klipsch RF-7 combo. I don't care for Denon when I heard it on the RF-7, made it seem more lifeless, where the Rotel brings life and very musical with great detail.
