  1. Good for you!! [] The room is a big factor. Dialing my subs in for my living room system was ten times more difficult than my bedroom system......and they're basically the same set-ups.
  2. I had a 430 about fifteen years ago and really liked it.......not a lot of power from what I can remember but wonderful sound quality. I'd like to get my hands on another one. []
  3. The RB-35's can be hung on the wall like a picture. I've never heard the RSX system but the RB-35 system will not let you down especially for movies. [] What AVR are you planning on using?
  4. Thanks for all the replies, guys. [] Has anyone had an experience or opinions on Sansui vs. Marantz? I've got Marantz in the house right now and really dig it. I've always likes the Marantz sound.....and when quality vintage gear is brought up it seems like it is always Harmon Kardon, Marantz, Sansui and Pioneer. I've had H/K and Pioneer as well as Marantz but never Sansui. It's really cool the deals you can find on these quality vintage units.......even if they are 30+ years old!! []
  5. Thanks Fenderbender, Are the AU series solid state or tube?
  6. Seems like a lot of vintage Sansui receivers and preamps have been popping up on Craigslist lately. I've heard their vintage stuff was good.......but does anyone know what vintage Sansui mates well with Klipsch? I've always been a Marantz lover....still am.......but can't recall any Sansui's that jumped out at me. [*-)]
  7. I noticed the same discoloration around the woofers on a pair of KG-3.2's I seen at a thrift store. [*-)]

OT, Best post, & best answer I have seen in this thread to the orriginal question!! How far do you let some pervert making eyes at your underage daughter go before you get off your A*S and do something about it?? I guess you have to figgure out where your priorities lay. Roger I heard that......I once stabbed a guy in the face for looking at my speakers the wrong way. []
  9. SVS........HSU......Epik........ED..........Affordable subs that will impress you. []
  10. My PB-12 Ultra/2 is my favorite sub in the house. Piano black finish.........it sounds as good as it looks. [Y]
  11. Yeah, newer cd's lack dynamics in comparison to older ones.......not all......but most that I've heard. They're just LOUD......and can be downright fatiguing to listen to. Sucks......but I listen to them regardless.
  12. Anyone ever heard or had any experience with this amp? I have an opportunity to buy one this weekend for $300.00...........supposed to be in excellent condition. I'll find out on Saturday.
  13. Yeah, I try to get to Simply Stereo about once every couple of months to drool. I've bought 80% of my Klipsch products from them. I go out of my way to give them business because they are so cool. All the listening, BSing and swapping gear around with the guys there is pretty much normal every time I visit.......not many places like this anymore. They even said I could bring in my own amps to try out on some Heritage speakers. Is that cool or what? [Y]
  14. I'm assuming you're talking about the Jolida..........I recall negative remarks about those amps. How about the rebuilt Dynacos? They seem pretty affordable.
  15. Right now I'm running four RF-7's in a bi-amp configuration.......with four Crown XTI 2000's. I'm crankin' along pretty good. As good as it sounds to my ears.......it took about a week to get used to the sound that I have in comparison to the Peach/VRD/RF-7 setup I heard months back. My system has much more "drive" but lacks the detail and realism of the tubes. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's becoming evident to me that if I want to match the performance that I now have with the Crown's.......with tubes........it's gonna get pretty expensive........and that I don't need right now. Perhaps a two-channel tube amp......say 35wpc......with the Peach ll would work better with my second system that consists of two RB-75's?
  16. I've read that the original Dynacos are so so..........but the rebuilds are pretty decent sound. What are the ST-70's........70 wpc? Might work well with my RB-75's (bookshelf version of the RF-7's). [*-)]
  17. I want to get a tube power amp to use with my Peach ll preamp and RF-7's. I'm presently using XTI 2000's that are 475 wpc @ 8 ohms........Plenty of power but not quite the sound quality I heard from a Peach/ 35 watt stereo VRD that I heard a few months back. I've heard quite a few tube amps in the past few months......now I want the best of both worlds.....the power of the Crown amps and the sound quality of the tubes. Any suggestions? I mostly listen to rock music........the amp has to be capable of driving the 7's to serious output levels. Thanks in advance. []
  18. Interesting.......I'm gonna try it with mine. I've only experimented frm 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock. [*-)] Coytee, what amp are you using with your Peach?
  19. Anyone ever put an absorption panel behind their main speakers........behind the horn? If so, what kind of results did you get?
  20. I agree. The guy that brags about how much his gear is worth can go scratch.........Klipsch= high end sound without the high end price [Y]
  21. ...........I slept with my absorbers last night.
