  1. I think that scott would be a good first tube experience for me. However, I don't know enough about them. Anyone want to chime in and advise me?
  2. " Here lies uncle Bob. Jammin to some Klipsch."
  3. I wouldn't hook them up if I was you. You will piss the wife off when you tell her you're going to keep them.[] What a steal. Resale almost seems sad. toodles
  4. I've seen some local tile/countertop company's that throw away pieces that have scrap pieces left over. Just a thought. toodles
  5. RUN FAST. RUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! I just bought some 20's for $550 and feel good about it. What a deal. toodles
  6. Humanspeaker was an informative read. toodles
  7. Too sweet. I like hearing how people make the choice, or stumble on something. I bet you start crying like a baby[:'(] when you upgrade the power. Congrats. toodles
  8. I'm curious about how to hook up the klf 20 crossover. It has mid and high horns and the 10 has a single. toodles
  9. I followed one of the links and one was abut $10,000 in UK.
  10. I've decided I am going to veneer. I'm not sure what variety of wood yet. I'm looking on ebay for now. A guy has alot of pretty stuff. I like looking at the curly wood. I spent my money that I was going to use for the amp on a pair of klf 20's.[] $550. I couldn't pass it up. You might have seen my other thread in home theater. Four of them all the way around now, with my home brew center..... I put on some Judas Priest and it was like I was getting beat up. Beautiful!! I can't even imagine how it's all going to sound with the sub and a receiver upgrade. Most importantly the receiver. I know I'm just scratching the surface. Right when you think it sounds perfect, you do something to make it sound better. How could anyone that likes and appreciates sound not listen through Klipsch? toodles
  11. Happy happy joy joy, happy happy joy joy
  12. Thanks. I'm really excited about it. The gent I purchased them from was real nice. I made my own center out of a scrapped out klf10 I bought on ebay. I got the drivers and crossover for about $70 delivered. Spent a couple bucks on wood and it ROCKS!!! probably have about $90 in it. The only problem is that it's not shielded so I have to be careful where I put it if I decide to move the room around. Safe to say, I now have everything matched up nicely. Now I have to upgrade my source in dvd, cd and receiver. toodles
  13. Ya. I guess I shouldn't leave my cheap, free camera in the garage when I'm working with wood. Looks like little ghosts floating around. toodles

  15. Well, I got the 20's. By the time I had some help to carry them in the house it was too late to plug em in. So I figured I'd save it for a weekend project. They are in great shape. My next purchase has to be a better receiver. Right now I'm running an HK 200. I believe it is 75 watts two channel and 65 front 55 center and 25 rear in surround. Which I don't like the surround modes too well. The cerwin vega E315's I was using just aren't efficient enough to keep up with the 20's with only 25 watts. If I can unload the cerwins for $200-250 that would be good. I think my friend wants them for his barn. He already has a set. Either way, I can't wait to let them breathe. With the sub that I'm building in the powered subwoofer forum, it should be fairly audible to my neighbors.[] Any ideas on a receiver? Used would be best. I've been researching alot. I would like a denon. I have no desire for 7 channel. Would like the 5 channel stereo. 100 plus watt range. The 3805's just haven't dropped enough to pick one of those up. They are pretty though. ALMOST THE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, my camera sucks. toodles
  16. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! We agreed on a price and will most likely pick them up tomorrow. He is about an hour and a half away. Damn, I can't wait to hear 4 20's humming away.[][][][] More power, need more power. Thanks guys. I'm always too slow on things but I finally caught a fish. Cheers. toodles
  17. My guess is you will at least get a letter of thanks. If they truly were embarrassed, it was probably a true story. Either way, it was a nice thing to do. I was in line at wendys downtown here one day and the guy in front of me was stinky and not dressed the best and I watched him buy a single burger with all change. I ordered, got my food and sat down at the table next to him. He ate the burger and got up to go to the trash and I asked him if he had money right now what would you buy? and he said another hamburger. So I gave him $10 and said buy a couple. He seemed real ashamed and thanked me over and over. However, he did buy more food. It's a good feeling.
  18. I'm on it. I just wrote to both of them. Everything happening so fast. WOW Thanks. Looks like another east coast. toodles
  19. I have never bought anything off of audiogon so I have never registered. I am waiting for my registration to confirm. Watch someone grab them up first.[:@]
  20. Thanks to both of you. Those 20's must have just came up. I've been searching audiogon. I have a set of 20's that would probably love to share duties with the those. I think I may give him a call. As far as the 30's being big. OH YEAH. I love my 20's. I can only imagine the 30's. Thanks guys. toodles
