  1. Love my 7s. Love my 7s. Love my 7s, too! So does everybody that hears them here too!
  2. Who knows then, maybe I like a hot top than. I like very much what I have now. Maybe the McIntosh is taming it down nicely already, it just sounds right on my ears. Who knows one day I may try it, you just never know. I'm ok for now. Dean, am not saying your crossover arent good, just tried a different setup with a friend and the RF-7 was different, didnt like so I see what some can be gettin, but my setup is over all pleasin that I am fine with the stock sound. I'll take a look and read what you suggest. Thanks.
  3. probably so, porn stars always seem to get all used up looking pretty fast before they should for some odd reason.
  4. and......... if someone doesnt want to have their crossovers change, no need for some to get huffy about it, I believe DeanG xovers are good but we all arent going to venture to it, or maybe not right away, or maybe after warranty is up!
  5. I should also follow to say that I have read great things here on the Klipsch forum about DeanG crossover fix, sound like a great many are happy and satified with it. I also talked to a couple guyz here in PM that help fill me in the in and outs of the change and its been positive what they share with me. I donts have any dismay about the DeanG crossover fix, think it is great for who needs it, and that Dean is willin to help others here with his service! Thank you DeanG for your service provided here! , gettin nice positive ratings here with crossover change and craftmanship.
  6. Frzninvt said: Ignorance is bliss. Am I to take this that you mean it as an insult towards me? If so, such bliss for you can also be ignored by me from acting the same way towards you, just comes across as being rude and I'm not gonna result to that.
  7. cjgeraci, I did nots say some one couldn't benefit from crossover change. I said, I get what some say about it by trying a different equp. and understand now. What I am saying, is that I find no need to to change my crossovers for me! I dont get bright and I dont get harsh. If I decide to change my RF-7 for any reasons in future for a change, DeanG would be the guy to go to, but like I said too, I very much like what the Stock sound has for my liking and would be nervous to change it for me, just being honest. I would have to hear the change first before I decide to do it for sure, but right now I'm gonna stick with my 5-year warranty from Klipsch, so after my warranty and want to change would be more willin at that times. Warranty means something to me and I dont want to gamble for myself but as others point out, speakers are solid and they dont mind, that is fine cause its each our own choice just like you did for you. Now if some one is gettin bright or harsh, they can contacts DeanG to save $$$ from having to upgrade equip to change, would be cheaper for the DeanG mods. I do not know how Trey feels about the crossover change, never asked him, never read any thing he posted about it. I did call Klipsch and talked to a very nice lady about my questions about the crossover change, she said she knew just who I needed to talks with and I talked to a very nice guy who helped me out a great deal with puttin it in perspective for myself and I trust Klipsch what information they give to help me. I found Klipsch to be very honest and helpful and appreciate that very so much.
  8. Being such a nice classic jeep, you should not run it into rags, the more rare it becomes and you restore it and keep it, every thing to close to original, the higher price you will get. Took out the back seat! I hope you plans on keepin it. Should keep it all original as much as possible. If you restore it right, you will later get back more than you paid for it, or what you put into restoring it. Have fun, and enjoys it.
  9. For that matter, would rather DeanG crossover change before putting sh*t paper on the speakers. Still, mine are doing great with not being bright or harsh. As it has beens said many times, like over and over and over, much depends on the equip that is used with the RF-Klipsch of what you will gets. If you haves equip that leaves them harsh or brights, and dont want to spend $$$ more moneys to change equips, then DeanG upgrade is the cheaper way to go, if that is whay you wants to do. Just remembers, when you change the crossovers, it thens void Klipsch warranty. Some guyz here are ok with that and take the gamble buts just good to be aware of it.
  10. Rivendell61, thats the biggest BS I've ever heard, and who wants sh*t paper on their nice speakers!
  11. Ok, I gets it now. My friend wanted to prove me what a $300 cheap recv. can do, so we hook it all up and abouts 10 minutes with this thing was way too brights for my ears to handle, had to takes a break. Bright, yes, harsh, yes, not any things like the sound I know the RF-7's can be. Was also flat and not much involving, put back my McIntosh and thank goodness to have my smooth musical sound backs, no bright, no harsh. Ok, I get what it is now but you cants blame it on the RF-7's it has to have good equip for sure. It means it is the equip's fault, or you for not picking what goes best for Klipsch. It shows just how important you must makes sure you pick the right equip, like some say - garbage in,, garbage out. So I think it is equip related of what you will get, now I know for sure, I needs no crossover change. I get very large soundstage too but it colaspes in and too narrow with the cheapo $300 recv. and openiness disappears too.
  12. It's nice! Like it very much. I donts wish I were you though. Older stuff takes money to keep them a runnin good and right, I's have to have newer so not sinkin money into all the time. I's dont like sunkin money but some donts mind to have a nice vintage nice jeep like that!
  13. I'm certain its been a covered here before, just thought I would share. I gots from a member over on the www.hometheaterspot.com forums, that shared it with me's. He has RF-7's and LaScala. He says he uses his RF-7's for music and the LaScala's for home theater.
  14. I saw the stupid Bose Wave Radio commericals they put on at night, they how wonderful it is and it's NOWS BUTTONLESS, the all new buttonless Wave Radio, and works with the supplied credit card remote. Like WOW, I'm supposed to get all excited it doesnts have buttons. That means I have to hunt for the remote each time I need to change somethin, if I'm right by the unit. Feature my a**, that stupid buttonless was a way of cheapen it out for more profits and same price as when it had buttons. Bose can keep their over-priced buttonless wave radio, I aints buyin it, nor fall for their commerical hype. I once gots stuck buying the Bose 901 and they sure the hecks never sounded like a Klipsch, was a big waste of money when I should have gots the Klipsch from the starts! I'll get a Klipsch anything, over a Bose anything, anys days of the years.
  15. What did you say about September, I donts find anything??
  16. An amp that leans slightly towards the warm side should do the trick. I once had some speaker cable I got from my Dad, I used it and I donts know what was wrong with that speaker wire, but it made things sound terrible, I got newer wire that is oxygen free and it made a big difference. My Dad told me the wire was over 20 years old when Monster first came out with that thick 10 gauge wire when he bought it. I guess the wire is going bad or maybe that was how it was then?
  17. Listening to my RF-7's some more tonight, I still can't believe how beautiful these things sound. I don't get any bright or harsh highs, not even at high volumes, I'm just not getting what some of you are saying here. I'm running a McIntosh with my RF-7's and it doesn't allow bright, just a very smooth, warm, and creamy sound, with very revealing details. The way these speakers sound with this equip, I've decided, I aints gonna change nothin here. I love the stock sound and I think Klipsch did good with the hard research and final outputs of these things! Subdue these by changing what I gots, hell no, no way. I'm staying the stock way, the way it was design and meant to be for this Klipsch Boyee.
  18. Oh, some of you Guyz are begin-in to worry me! Gladz I'm more open minded and have large variety to enjoys.
  19. Krall is most right better than Brit. (Ooops I did it again) Spears. Wells, all that are mention here is better than "Oops I did it again".
  20. I'm still not convinced from changing mines from Stock. My RF-7's sound so fantastic already. I'm afraid to change the sound evens one once since I'm in such a spell with the stock sound. I hears all this talk with some say HOT TOP, but I donts get that but creamy smooth sound. If it aint broke, donts fix it, is what I say. If you gets a hot top or what ever others are gettin, than the fix is for them. Really creamy smooth with extreme detail, the sound is bliss and mind blowing how fantastic these RF-7's are. Enjoys your new mods.
  21. edwinr said: I'd rather hear Krall's lips smack rather than her singing. She's painful - and boring. Oh edwin, so cruel! Atleast she has her own style and being herself and not fake or tryin to be's a BIG SHOWOFF like some artist. Just cause she's a little laid back, doesn't mean she is boring. If we put you on stage, we would probably find you very boring compared to her!!
  22. It's subjective, we each like different ice cream flavors, same goes here for speakers. You's will have to try and listen to both and decide for yourself. I'm very satisfied with my RF-7's but I used to have Forte II's and kind of wish I kept them for a second system to enjoys both sounds. My choice for 1st pick for me is the RF-7, my second would be Forte II, and I've heard great things abouts Cornwall and wouldn't mind that either for second system.
  23. I tried GoodGuys, they didn't want to come down any where near $1200.00 a pair. If you got that kind of deal you are DARN LUCKY! The GoodGuys didn't want to budge much at all.
