Since it sounds like you want to listen loudly, I’d go bigger.
-
What source(s) are you listening to?
-
Coaxial is a digital connection. XLR is analog. Neither are going to introduce noise unless a component is failing.
If you go XLR, the upstream component’s DAC will handle digital to analog processing. If you go coaxial, the downstream component’s DAC will handle the digital to analog processing. For me it would depend on which component’s DAC was superior.

RP series is definitely the way to go.
And, as a reminder, a 5.1 setup uses side surrounds. 7.1 adds rear surrounds.

loose crossover wire? loosen each and re-tighten.
Yep. Loosen and tighten every screw on the input terminal and on the crossover network. It’ll remove years of oxidation and give a much better signal path. -
They say right on the label. 🤷

Exactly what settings are you referring to?
Things like dynamic volume, dynamic EQ, anything along those lines. Generally when you disable anything like that things will sound better. Also, it might help to increase the center speaker output a couple dBs. -
Swap the speakers on your amp/receiver first and see if it’s an amp or speaker problem.

But ain't that what I'm looking at?
I think they mean don’t stack another speaker on the top hat box. -
Actually they say do not double stack.
-
Very unlikely that the speaker is defective. There’s lots of settings in your receiver that you’ll want to mess around with to tailor the sound to your liking.

Sorry to bring up a depressing thread but with the start of 2024 I was wondering if anyone knew of any members to add. 😟

Hi this is a long shot but you mentioned you had a manual for a ps audio 200cx. I have been looking for one foe ever can you share.
thanks Vic
From what I understand, the forum member you’re hoping to hear from passed away. -
From what I understand, if you don’t have a subwoofer any speakers you have should be set to Large or Full Range.
-
I finally figured it out! They’re from a Thiel CS3!

What sub do you have?
The red/white inputs are always active on all subs. What do you mean that your amplifier doesn’t recognize it?
-
I haven’t heard anyone who has had issues with them.
-
RSW-12 is a subwoofer. Value depends on condition. I’d say $200-400.

No pre-outs, so you’ll need a converter like I mentioned above.- 1

So they worked then quit working? What source(s) are you listening to?
-
Your sub doesn’t have high level inputs so you’ll need to get some kind of box that converts high level inputs to RCA outputs.
-
I think most people don’t realize the amount of craftsmanship that goes into making a speaker. That was pretty cool.
Anyone know what brand of speaker that is?

One more question: do you use your Firestick with wifi or do you use the ethernet adapter?
I use WiFi with mine.
This is the one I use:

If you think that the Bostons require less power than the Klipsch, I suggest you learn what speaker sensitivity means.

Has it ever worked? You’re plugging the system into the headphone jack on the computer?
