  1. When you were all in Hope what music did you listen to on the Jubilee's? Any music that one would say is a must have CD for listening to Klipsch speakers? Found the post of Patricia Barber's "Nightclub". Thanks Dan
  2. If anyones interested there is a pair of Chorus speakers for sale in walnut for $799.00 in the Chicago area at a store called Saturday Audio Exchange. http://saturdayaudio.com 888 553-used
  3. Did anyone happen to notice what they were using to run the Jubilee's? Thanks Dan
  4. Al, Will this crossover work in the Cornwall II which uses the K-34-E Woofer, K-57-K Midrange and the K-79-K Tweeter. I have a schematic of the crossover that was used in the Cornwall II if that would help. Thanks Dan
  5. Always heard that Paul loved trains in fact I have a picture of him next to a train lay out. Did anyone see anything when you were at his house? Dan
  6. Did you happen to notice if the Plexiglass Klipschorn is still in the museum? Was great to see the photos that were posted. Wish I could have been there. Dan
  7. Al, Will that crossover work in the Cornwall II which uses the K-34-E Woofer, K-57-K Midrange and the K-79-K Tweeter. Thanks Dan
  8. Does anyone know of a company where I can order capacitors and inductors for a speaker crossover? I've heard of Al talking about these Solin inductors. Want to upgrade the parts in my Cornwall II crossover. Thanks Dan
  9. Stu, I was responding to Boa who was looking for the # for the woofer used in the Cornwall I which is the K-33. Dan
  10. Stu, I was responding to Boa who was wondering what the part number was for the Cornwall I woofer. Dan
  11. My 1989 Cornwall II's backs do not come off and they are made of 7 ply plywood along with the rest of the cabinet. The crossover is a circuit board which is screwed to the back speaker connections. The rear speaker connections terminal is rectangular in shape and is screwed to the back board with six screws. I have the entire speaker taken apart so if anyone wants any other info let me know. Dan
  12. boa12, I always thought the older Cornwall used the same woofer as the klipschorn, La Scala and Belle Klipsch. That would be the K-33 if I'm not mistaken. Dan
  13. djk, I think I'm going to hang on to the Heathkit. Do you own any Heathkit products? Dan
  14. Johnny, I love the sound of my Cornwall II's but have never had the chance to here the original Cornwalls which have a totally different tweeter and midrange and crossover. Dan
  15. JCturbo, The grill clothes are brown woven like on the heritage line. I recently ordered a heresy and it had the same grill cloth as my 89 Cornwall II. Dan
  16. JCturbo, I using a Carver C-l pre-amp and a Heathkit AA-1800 250 watt amplifier. I also have a Nad Cd player. How about building false corners for your Cornwalls since you can't use the corners. You just have to hear them in the corners. Dan
  17. Ross, The Heresy's are a three way speaker. The main difference between the Heresy and Heresy II is in the tweeter and midrange. These two drivers have changed from the original Heresy. I believe that they sound very similar to one another. Although some have said that the Heresy II has a little better bass response. Good luck with all those Heresy's. Dan
  18. Anyone ever used a Klipschorn for a center channel? Was thinking couldn't you build a pair of false corners to fit behind it. Just an idea. Dan
  19. JCturbo, Try putting the Cornwalls in the corners toed in toward your listening area I think you will be surprised how different the low end sounds. Congratulations on your purchase. You do have a unique pair in that you share the same midrange that my 1989 models have but you have the K-77 tweeter where mine have the K-79-K tweeter. As Paul would say "Keep in Clean" Dan
  20. frznvt, Does your friend still have them where you would be alble to give us the dimensions of that port and what type of woofer was used? Dan
  21. Does anyone recall a Heresy Speaker that had a port on the bottom of the front panel it was a slit along the bottom? Was it a Professional Heresy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan
  22. If you can get your hands on a McIntosh C27 preamplifier it has a center channel output. Paul sure was ahead of his time. They just seem to give it new names today. Dan
  23. The Heresy was originally designed for the center channel, however PWK designed the belle Klipsch as the preferred center channel between two Klipschorns to match the horn loaded bass and low distortion characteristic of the klipschorn. Dope from Hope contains an article for deriving the center channel using resistors and a potentionmeter. Its amazing the wall of sound you get by using the center channel. Dan
