  1. Bob you just stated what I like most about the compact Klipsch iFi speaker system, it doesn't have a un-natural bright sound, and you can listen to them for hours without annoyance. For small speakers the sound is remarkably accurate, especially compared to much more expensive speakers.Cheers
  2. Would be nice if this was only a iPod output problem not your speakers. What the source of your music system...iPod, computer?
  3. Question 1 see this url There are already several iPod remote's out there. Since Klipsch hasn't announced a advanced two-way remote at CES, don't hold you breath. Question 2: Two issues, iPod needing to be sometimes reset before adding it to iFi, and the correct spacer for the Nano from Klipsch. As Amy said " Send an email to promedia@klipsch.com and give your name, address, phone #, and serial # of the unit (on the back of the sub)." The slight dips at the high end response can be compensated by EQ, sometimes you need it sometimes you don't, depends on music source power curve versus type of music. I am more interested in a natural sound then a artificial high accented sound like some 2 way systems seem to accent.
  4. Andy how flat is the frequency response for the Klipsch iFi with internal EQ? All I see is the 27 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range mentioned.
  5. Well the Klipsch iFi sale is still going on for $249.95 at Apple store and Circuit City. Number of reviews is up by a fair number at Apple.
  6. That was the intent (both formats). Yeah I too like the part where you down convert from 1080P to 960 x 540 and then upscale back to 720P.
  7. Hey speaking of the not too distant future, lets not forget about the "new" 4K SXRD projectors (4094 x 2160 resolution) which make 1080P look like SD. You would need your new holographic HVT media to handle this! [] Can you imagine a home theater screen that is 27 feet wide, 16:9 screen where each pixel is only about the size of the letter "e" in liberty on a quarter!!! I hope all you high resolution people are salivating for this for your home. [6]
  8. Are you going to mail out a small plastic bag of the new nano iPod , 30GB iPod , 60GB iPod adapters for the iFi or just individual adapters as requested?
  9. Quite a number of my friends. There a lot of folk out there seriously thinking about buying a expensive projector or RPT that supports 1080P to replace their older HT system but are worried about compatibility with digital inputs such as HDMI supporting 1080P and when universal HD-DVD players will arrive.
  10. Original article here The Advanced Access Content System (AACS) is now saying all digital TV's released before/about mid 2005 will be impacted by hardware makers required to block some high-def signals from being sent from HD-DVD players to displays over analog connections. For early adopters you won't get to play 1920 x 1080 resolution, but watch a downconverted 960 x 540 signal. Ouch!
  11. Some people relish the past (expensive turntables). [] I think the silliest argument is the performance from a expensive turntable /cartridge versus a excellent CD or DVD. I have friends boost that their turntable and records sounds just as good as a CD! Some of these guys still live in a "stereo world" and own tape decks, but eventually they get wise and purchase a decent HT system. [8-|] I guess the sign of a unhappy relationship is when you see the guy stuck with a very old stereo and speaker system. []
  12. As I was mentioning earlier , you have learned to trust each other (truth, finance, decorating the home) to have a good marriage. []
  13. It all depends on the financial trust you have in a relationship, not control of pocketbook by a particular sex. Most women are pretty savvy about todays technology and most guys are not electronic gadget slobs, but you always get articles like this to express the writer's personal viewpoint. []
  14. As Jay481985 stated the Klipsch iFi sub-woofer doesn't have any noticable boom or cavity noise (bass peak usually 40 to 60 hz). These speakers have a pretty flat frequency response with only a few dips (one mild one in the upper bass - crossover region). There are also some mild dips on the high end which explain the lack of pop that some other owners have observed (you can adjust your EQ to counter this). Music with extensive use of a kick drum shows off clean bass response of the Klipsch iFi.
  15. Same initial observation also. The sub-woofer needs to break in, it takes a few hours before this happens. Recommend normal volume not cranking it when breaking it in. Placing the sub woofer in a corner or a few inches from a wall will increase the bass somewhat. The monster cables won't help, but remember clear large gauge AC line cord from your local hardware store is just as effective as monster cable. Are you using a computer or Ipod or both?
  16. 1/19 Amazon deal is now gone (back to $399), that was quick!
  17. Starting in standby mode prevents loud pops caused by power transients when powering on the iFi. Any computer with a 3.5 MM MiniJack stereo cable can interface fine with line-in back of sub-woofer.

    Worst movie of 2005

Not quite 2005 as toddvj said. As usual it was released right on the end of 2004 (Dec 17th). Aviator put me to sleep during parts of the movie, it finally came alive at the end especially with the trial, and the flight of his big plane. Serenity some people liked others didn't. Personally I liked it, but then again I liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series!
  19. Amazon has the Klipsch iFi now 25% off for $299.95 through Vanns. Must be inventory reduction time.
  20. If i understand your question, then you probably would not want to utilize the iFi system for a piped remote system. You could make use of a small A/V receiver with multiple speaker set outputs to do this.
  21. Interesting Circuit City is now saying was 399.99 now 299.99.
  22. CompuUSA already ruined the Good Guys name. They are no more. Looking for a TV or audio equipment in CompUSA means you are pretty desperate!
  23. I can clearly see some improvement in picture quality with 1080P over 720 P displays for > 46" displays, but we know that some 720P displays have much better picture quality then other 720P displays. Clearly some 720P displays give some 1080P displays a run for their money. But I would still recommend a 1080P display because you are receiving other benefits such as recent improvements in audio and video processing, inputs/outputs, better contrast ratio, better black cababilities, and improvements in the light engine.
  24. Gee iGroove users rate over iFi users! [] Thought the iFi adapters were suppose to be available first week of January. []
  25. Just noticed this morning that the list price for the Klipsch iFi at the store was now $249.95. Your guess to why suddenly the major drop in price? (was $399)
