  2. Sorry
    for your issue OnMedic.

    I
have flown a lot and have found that the jack can be problematic on the plane.
The "i" version has an extra ring for the mic. This is an Apple spec
that we have to comply to. The ground may not be engaging properly. The other
issue is that the planes can be poorly maintained. Thus the jacks don’t function
properly on the arm of the passenger seat.
Of course when you fly on some birds you will need the airline adapter
for the two prong connection. I also
recommend getting an analog volume control that is inline with the cable. This way you can have you’re A/V gain all the
way up on the seat for movies and attenuate via the pot on the volume
control. When the pilots announce they
are Full Scale for safety purposes, but this gets painful when you have in ears
lodges deeply and need to quickly yank them out when they come on the channel.

    This
also may fix your problem if the connector works for the S4i. The male end is only 3 pin so you may engage
    the ground connector better.

    Hope
    this helps.

  3. Hi aaronbarnes,

    Sorry you are having difficulties.

The issue is most likely that the ground connection does not line up where it needs to on the Image One plug. Since there is a microphone connection also, this area of the connection is smaller for the ground. You could try an extension cable or adapter to see if that fixes the issue. It will literally be hit or miss depending on the manufacturer and adapters as to whether it fixes it or not.

Thanks for your support of Klipsch!

  4. Thump with one of his favorite axes: a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe (early 1960's I believe) in traditional sunburst. Beautiful!

I REALLY wish that was an early 60's LP. It is not. It is a 1972 with the mini humbuckers PU's. I am trying to verify that it was used on the recording of Thin Lizzy "Jail Break". I hope it was. Either way it is a great sounding guitar. It really bits when you need it. I can see why they were famous with Pete Townshend from the Who. You can clearly hear his tones and Thin Lizzy with the right amp settings.

Thanks Verna for listening to my vintage guitar tutorial. :)

  5. Too bad! I hope none of the employees don't lose their jobs.

You hope they're all fired? Sorry, I knew what you meant. Especially Amy, Trey, Hunter, Delgado...Our family!!

Sorry, I shouldn't have drinks and type........now edited.

Gregg.... Don't forget Mark aka Professor Thump!

    Thanks Ben...

I don't know how to respond. I have plenty of opinions as you may know. I realize that most of my opinions could jeopardize my job, but I also feel like we need to start talking about the future and how things will improve. You have not been given any facts from the company because there are no binding agreements in place. Once they are then Audiovox can respond with their new strategy.

I don't think we are in a panic zone here folks. There will be change. That is a fact. Many changes will be bad and many will be good in the public's eyes. But know this... Klipsch engineering as we are now have not changed. We are still striving to give you the best audio for a competitive price. We take pride in our American heritage and production in Hope. I hope that continues. Audiovox has purchased a cash cow. We are highly profitable, which is different from the rest of the audio companies to date. Management recognized that value, and should, since it pays the bills.

I may be working for another company if it is written in the cards. It is not my plan at this time, but plans can change as the time passes. I hope and pray that Klipsch Employees are intact after the transfer of power. Only time will tell.

Please know though that I plan on continuing the effort to design great sounding kick *** products at Klipsch in the future.

  6. I picked up a nice Les Paul Deluxe which is circa early 70's. It is probably a 69-73. Later models had labels on the rear of the headstock. This particular guitar MAY have been used by Thin Lizzy to cut the album "Jail Break". Brian Robertson was known to use this type of guitar and the lineage of owners points back to Brian as the user of this guitar. Whether it cut the recordings of Jailbreak or not is not documented but I am working on that.

    Album Cuts:

    Side one

    1. "Jailbreak" – 4:01
    2. "Angel from the Coast" (Lynott, Brian Robertson) – 3:03
    3. "Running Back" – 3:13
    4. "Romeo and the Lonely Girl" – 3:55
    5. "Warriors" (Lynott, Scott Gorham) – 4:09

    Side two

    1. "The Boys Are Back in Town" – 4:27
    2. "Fight or Fall" – 3:45
    3. "Cowboy Song" (Lynott, Brian Downey)– 5:16
    4. "Emerald" (Gorham, Downey, Robertson, Lynott) – 4:03

On the 1996 Mercury CD reissue (#314 532 294-2), "Angel from the Coast" and "Running Back" are listed as the second track with only one running time, making it appear to be a single song called "Angel from the Coast Running Back", and there is no third track listed. But all the songs are sequenced as on the original LP release.

  7. None of them... You can't replace SRV.

Word of advice if you own one of these Super's... When cranking it hard you may want to use a 2 ohm grid plate to attenuate it to a safe listening level. I know it is not any fun to do this but you will get tired of your ears ringing and putting batteries in your hearing aids 5 years from now if you don't.

Secondly... Fender Amps', due to their EQ network, tend to sound very flubby at high distortion. You can fix this problem easliy enough by backing off the bass control to 2 or 3, depending on your guitar and pickup.
