Thanks Dr. Who, I will check out the information. I can't guarantee that it won't go in one ear and out the other. I originally planned to use the speakers side by side, but like I said was told that is a no-no A question could be made to if there is any room conditioning/ treatments that could optimize the listening room (if needed).

I was speaking about the vertical dispersion in theory. It is sufficient in this setup. There is not a noticable increase in bass because the top woofer is not coupled to the floor. The added mid and high horn add to the total sound which is 'bigger'. It sounds incredible with horn music, which I like.

I used a little KV-3 for quite a while with my fortes and it sounded OK for HT. I own Academy but was too big to put on my TV at the time.

Should not there be more total vertical dispersion because of adding a second speaker?

I did'nt want to break any 'sonic laws'. It sounds good to me this way. I like the way when you stand up the sound does not drop off. I found its kind of like a wall of sound with more vertical dispersion into the listening area. That is part of the idea to get more sound right? That way I don't have to drive the amp as hard. I've got the surrounds included anyway.

Sometimes when listening to a CD I get Citizens Band coming into my speakers equal to the volume of listening. How does my system pick this up? Sometimes it is very loud (and annoying). One time I even heard some foreign language slavic(?) radio very faint through the speakers. very weird! What is going to happen when the govt. auctions off the tv bands to first responders in regards to radio interference?

I tried my 2 pairs of chorus(s) stacked,with one on top of one another, with the top speaker inverted. (horn of the top speaker down, so the tweeters are together at ear level, and the woofer up.) Has anyone tried this and what was your opinion of the result. I was told that this is the sonically correct way to stack them to avoid sound wave cancelling. (can't be put side by side, or on top of each other)

This is a pet peave of mine, but why does it take forever to release older films when the new films come out right away? I have been waiting YEARS for a short list of films. Some are US, some are UK. This is a major dissapointment of the DVD format in my opinion. We will be into HD/Blu DVD format before some of the older films are out, if ever.

Does anyone know about Klipch signs, wall plaques, etc., I have seen several in photos and wanted to know where one would aquire them.

They better get it together because there is a proposed new holographic disc that is supposed to hold 8 hdtv movies on 1 disc. That might kill off both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

I'm glad you think the C7 may be enough but if not I could use a matching large speaker with the perf screen or other material like you had mentioned. What is celtic cloth? I am looking at alternatives too because the perf. screens are very expensive.

Congrats on your project Scooterdog. I have a question about center channels. I see that you have made one and that is very ingenious. I have taller Klipsch speakers that I would like to use as a center, but when I eventually have a screen it would probably extend below the top of the speaker blocking it. I would need a perforated screen or use something else. I have a KLF-C7 but I think that it would be undersized and read that it is best to use the same size speakers all around. In your experience is a smaller size center satisfactory in your system? I wondered what you might recommend. Thank you.

A related question is this: If I am using an amp that is sufficient, power wise and providing clean power to an efficient Klipsch Speaker, does it improve the overall sound by adding a larger more expensive amplifier with more watts? Only a few watts may be used in each case. The amplifiers for sake of arguement are generally similar. For example using a 300wpc amp as opposed to a 100 wpc amp. I have heard differing opinions on this in the past.
