  1. I forgot to mention what a GORGEOUS Corvette you have!
  2. Nothing wrong with them on a car, but when used as flexible shower stalls/tubs... [N]
  3. Because I'm a COB (cheap ol'basterd), I stayed at the "Heritage" Holiday Inn, now the Super 8. Rooms were nice, bathtubs were real (no Corvette body materials), fridge/microwave/flatscreen TV, free wi-fi and better-than-most breakfast bar... $45 a night. But here's the kicker/food-for-thought: they have two banquet/meeting rooms off the lobby, away from the rooms. I imagine we could have used those for a listening room. Something to keep in mind if there's ever another Hope Pilgrimage.
  4. Missed you, Larry. You might of enjoyed hearing the 16th Century Spanish chaccones and Samuel Scheidt brass works I played that cleared the Jubilee listening room. ;-)
  5. Heat Index: 106?. In the motel drinking a cold lager, wondering what the hell I'm gonna do with a water damaged Karlson cabinet.
  6. Who's here? There're some cold Shiner Smokehauses in Rm 204 of the Super 8 Motel. P.S. I hate I-30.
  7. Young Mr. LaGrone (keeper of my daughter) and I will be at the plant at zero eight hundred hours on Saturday, rolling into Hope Friday afternoon. See y'all then.
  8. I use a Tivoli Model CD cdp with my 299-D. Happy camper.
  9. I haven't heard any of those bands.
  10. Destroy New Architecture. or... Collapse New Buildings (Einstürzende Neubauten)
  11. "Horns of Plenty"... which references PWK's old logos featuring the seven lean years and seven years of plenty from Genesis 41:53.
  12. Ben Dover and the Ramrods (country punk) Grinning Like An Idiot: performance art band The Cowboy Twinkies (alt country) The Susceptible Not A Moment To Lose Deaf Crossing
  13. Looking good, and remember... you didn't have to pay/risk shipping!
  14. I've been playing a lot more mono LP recordings the last couple of years (mainly West Coast and Be-Bop jazz). I replaced my Cornwalls with Klipschorns last summer. I've been playing a lot more mono since then, because they sound so good, almost 3-D (I don't switch my receiver to mono, but keep it on stereo). The music doesn't sound "single source", but very much three dimensional. Anyone else notice this, holographic mono, or am I just entering pre-senile dementia (maybe that's another question)?
  15. "Pilgrimage Music Event (for lack of a better name)" Klipschstock? Paulapalooza? ;-)
