    PAYPAL

Actually I've had paypal pull my money back once I started the transfer to my account. The money is not really safe until you get it in your account and withdraw it.
  2. Dr. Who, Thanks for posting those! Looks like the Yamaha has a few more options on bass handling than my Denon.
  3. That's not the way it works on my Denon 3801. This is from the manual: When the LFE+MAIN playback mode is selected, the low frequency signal range of channels set to LARGE are produced simultaneously from those channels and the subwoofer channel. What that means to me is that the bass from the large left/right channels are also sent to the sub, and the LFE channel is sent to the sub. Not the LFE is sent to the mains. The only way the LFE is sent to the mains is if subwoofer is set to none in the receiver.
  4. I'm looking to upgrade or replace my KSW-200 subwoofer. (It's a 1996-1998 12" downfiring sub). Would upgrading the amp with something like this be worth the effort? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-750 Or would I just be wasting my money? I don't really want to spend a lot on a sub.
  5. Too risky unless local pickup, brand new ebayer with 0 feedback.
  6. They were walnut, and yes perfect. However they are already sold. Thanks for the interest.
  7. Hey Bob, I'd love to hear your speakers, live in Arkansas. Maybe some other Arkansans could bring amps and make a day of it?
  8. Its used for the tremolo on an organ. That horn is not meant for music reproduction, but rather music "production".
  9. The new horns in the heresy/cornwalls are remarkable, truly a leap forward. The bass in the Cornwalls is deep and tight, doesn't sound like a ported speaker. I actually liked the Cornwallls better than the Lascalas. Of course we were listening to these through a $4000 tube amp and a high end CD player. I cam home and listened to the same track on my RF-63s that we got to hear on the Jubilee. Yawn. Your RF-83s are excellent speakers, but if you get the chance sometime, try to audition a set of cornwalls.
  10. Yes, the white part. The picture really doesn't do it justice, the hole are completely filled in, in that area.
  11. I just recently purchased a RC-7. Looking down the throat, the "bug screen" appears to have a very small portion clogged with what looks like some kind of glue. I am attempting to post a picture, its in the bottom right of the screen. Do you think this will affect the sound, or am I being completely anal?
  12. Isn't that a little steep? Check out this ebay 9741313364 auction.
  13. A set of KG2's were my very first Klipsch speakers. They were bought new and I still own them over 20 years later, though they are not in use. They are very few "musical" notes below 50hz. The Heresy's being a sealed design make "better" bass, quicker and more dynamic. I would guess that you would prefer the sound of the Heresy over the KG2. I've also found specs on audio equipment almost are never any indication of what they actually sound like.
  14. I think he may have been thinking the KG5.5s used 8" drivers, in fact they use twin 10".
  15. Something has happened to my RF-63s. I never believed in speaker breakin, but I'm not imagining this. The bass output of these speakers has increased substantially. I've probably listened to them for about 10 hours, some with the same source of music repeatedly. The bass output hass gone way up. I mean so much so I have to check to see if the sub is on. I was having a bit of buyer's remorse because my KG 5.5s had so much more bottom end, but not any more. I guess they'll be skeptics who read this, I would be. But I'm convinced those cones are moving more than they did out of the box. Anyway, the RF-63 is an awesome speaker. I absolutely love them.
  16. looks like no one ever replied to this. Do you still have that sub? If so, ever do anything to it? I'm looking to do the same thing, or sell it and upgrade.
  17. Yes, a piano, and I have a chart that shows what frequencies each key is. It does serve the same purpose, you are correct. I just thought that software app was cool.
  18. Well I did it, purchased the RF-63s today from a dealer. The Ebay Klipschstore was just too much of an unknown. I have to have my cabinets pristine, and they couldn't promise that. Now, compared to the KG5.5s. I've learned 2 things. The KG5.5s are not bad speakers, in any way shape or form. In fact, the RF-63s can't touch the bass the KGs put out. Not even close. However, the 63 is a superior speaker. I listened to several of my favorite CDs tonight and heard things I'd never heard before in the music. I then went to the video store and rented Firewall. Fortunately its soundtrack was excellent and this is where I was really impressed! I'm really going to enjoy watching movies with these things. They are so smooth, not tiring at all. Also, they are quite a bit more efficient than the KGs. I did have all my speakers set at 0 on the levels (kg2.2 rs-35s). When I calibrated tonight with my SPL meter I had to turn up the center and surrounds 5 or 6 clicks to keep up with 63s. I'll be adding a RC-64 later. So there you go, I think I made a wise choice. The 83s are definately better, but I think they would have been too much for my room.
  19. The Ebay store would be my source for the 7s, 90 day warranty.
  20. Looks like I can get the RF-7s for about $1200, the RF3s are going to run about $1800 with tax....
  21. I've downloaded a software tone generator just to hear the frequencies used as crossover points: http://www.nch.com.au/tonegen/index.html Its interesting what 80 hz sounds like (crossover points for some sub applications) 1600 hz (crossover of my KG5.5) 1650 hz (crossover for RF83) 2200 hz (crossover of RF7) 800 hz (crossover to squawker on HIII) You'll be surprised at how high a pitch woofers go on 2 way systems before getting to the horn.
  22. Are you using surrounds for mostly movies, or multichannel music (SACD?) Or half of each?
  23. What's amazing about a system like that, it must put to shame any commercial theater. Back in the Pro-Logic days, it was my goal just try to achieve the sound of the theater. Now, the sound in my home far exceeds what I hear at the theater. Now if I could just get that 70 foot screen in my living room!
  24. I was actually going to bid on it just to try and salvage one of the drivers, but the shipping quote was $50. No thanks.
  25. I always thought a room full of heritage (any of 'em, including heresy) would make an awesome theater.
