  1. i guess i didn't think that dinner through very well...it was a huge can of baked beans too--so let's just say, i better not stay in one place too long around the office today.
  2. for the first time in many, many months--i ate dinner at home. A ham sandwich and a can of baked beans. Opening those cans of beans can be a bit tricky; and for some reason they don't show that very often on the food network. I must have done it right because they tasted pretty darned good.
  3. fini, glad to hear you have some good people taking care of you. i believe in prayer--personally experienced too much not to believe. so, did you grow a beard yet? i had one during the series; but, have since shaved it off. i didn't dye it jet black though. buster sure deserved that award.
  4. i've wondered that myself...despite numerous award winning entries--I'm a one-hit wonder myself.
  5. i wonder if Alice was serving ole arlo a turkey dinner when he wrote that tune. for me, i'll just play a little Bohemian Rhapsody.
  6. truthfully, i've always considered myself a punk; but, i'm not a thieving punk. i do like the Tubes and they sang of White Punks on Dope.
  7. so i go out to my truck this morning and it was ransacked during the night. 99.9 percent of the time I remember to lock it; but, yesterday was very stressful at work, and i must have forgotten. they pulled out everything from behind the seats, emptied the glovebox, etc...just made a complete mess. however, i had my klipsch igroove and ipod right on the seat, with power converter, earphones, phone charger all sitting on the seat--they didn't take any of it, didn't take the installed stereo either-- not sure if something scared them away or they were just punks.
  8. how about a one-year subscription to the jelly of the month club--that's the gift that keeps on giving all year long.
  9. good luck my friend, i hope all goes well for you. steve
  10. no way i could have fallen asleep last night. that game was exciting. me, being a lover of defense and good pitching, loved it. seeing a pitcher dominate the way lincecum did was very cool. i also enjoy watching the player's reactions. i'm glad that the camera is also watching the dugout. it's very cool to see people celebrating (as long as it wasn't the rangers in this case). so, i'm two for two as a fan. Lakers are defending champions, now the Giants...so let's go Raiders--give me the fan trifecta.
  11. we should be required by law to eat mcrib sandwiches. after just voting to legalize marijuana, i'm tempted to drive to the nearest mickey D's and get one. perhaps just a case of the voter munchie syndrome.
  12. one is good, two is better; but, three will make your butt look fat.
  13. B E A U T I F U L i wish my Dad was alive to see this--one of my very few memories of him was sitting in the backyard at our house in Hayward and he's listening to the Giants game on the radio (circa 1965). To my fellow Giants fans on the forum--Finally...enjoy. Steve
  14. i saw that one too Glenn. Geez, people will do anything for a buck. the manager said they gave free food and he felt obligated, as the manager, to sample the food to ensure it's quality. right...if the food sucked, your customers would tell you. another selfish person trying to get in ronald mcdonald's deep pockets.
  15. three presidents at the game last night--Bush1, Bush2, and President Madison Bumgarner. Go Giants! Honorable mention to my beloved Raiders and their two-game win streak.
  16. they already have breasts, now they're trying to show off by reading?
  17. today's game sucked. not quite as much as this asthma attack that has been going on since tuesday night. back on the prednisone. sanchez has definitely cooled off--hopefully bumgarner will do better.
  18. TMI Now Dee is a fine man, and i know that he didn't mean that the way it sounds; but, whew! that sure doesn't read very well.
  19. and they're really dropping the ball with those fortune cookies too--none of mine have come true!
  20. Glenn, i knew you collected hot sauce, so thank you for commenting. I looked up this mega-death stuff on their website and it definitely looks out of my league. i love hot stuff; but, personally, i couldn't tolerate even dave's insanity sauce. And i agree, giving something of this caliber to a kid is about the dumbest thing that i've ever heard. no steak-n-shakes out west; but, i've been to one when i lived in michigan--can't believe they "stock" this stuff? i wonder if the worker brought in a bottle on their own? steve
  21. YES, as a long time Giants fan, i'm watching it all very closely...and lovin it. Matt Cain is on a roll. My only complaint is that posey and burrell need to start using the bat instead of resting it on their shoulders. The very first year that i played organized ball, this "mean" coach tore us to pieces if we struck out looking. "if it was close enough to call, it was close enough to swing at." granted i know that there is more educated guessing involved in hitting (knowing what the pitcher is most likely to throw next); but, still (especially burrell) needs to step it up. Love freddie sanchez and am so happy to see him in the groove.
  22. I hear that. Giants in World Series, and a Raider blowout of Denver. A very nice sports weekend indeed. too bad they want so much money for world series tickets. i looked at a few websites and the cheapest i could find was $500 each.
