  1. KA-1000 THX B-gain = off phase = 0 , set to ear later.. where the bass sounds best / loudest at your seat. THX mode OFF Level = max Crossover = 80 Hz Use the lever in your receiver to match volume to the mains The 5.1 , 7.1, 9.2 all tell about how many channels are taken from the audio recording. the system you have is 7.1 as your receiver (most likely) has only one SUB OUT. You have 2 sub cabinets but they both get the same signal. if you add another sub it does not add a channel in the system , only more cone area to move air. ...I have the same system. My Mains are on top of my subs...no stands. Makes one hell of a tower. My center is above my 65" DLP TV. I had it on the floor but like the sound better with it up. Nice room!
  2. Try turning off the THX setting on the KA-1000 amp....it changes the input requirement to get max out of the amp. Non THX mode - 750mV In = 67V out THX mode - 3 V in = 67 V out You don't get more only get it with a lower volume setting.
  3. Ok, so there are only 51 folks that are even thinking about making the pilgrimage? We need to see attendance have a bit higher numbers. VOTE!
  4. We plan to meet late this week or next week to start to sure up the plans.
  5. Max out of the KA-1000 is about 66 -67 volts loaded. Non THX mode (green lights on) 0.75 mV in = 66 -67 Volts out THX mode (two lights on the right are red) 3 Volts in = 66 - 67 Volts out The "Y" adapter will give more voltage in due to the input going through 2 op amps rather than one. Thus more in and getting to max out "faster" or "with less volume knob". So with your receiver at 1/4th level and a using only one RCA on the KA-1000 you get "X" level from the subs. When you add the "Y" and change nothing else you should see about 3db of output from the sub. ( room and crossover setting can change the amount)
  6. We do not give out schematics for product that are in production. That system just came back into production. Its not that they wont, they cannot. the amp was moved to more than one vendor in it's life. Make sure the schematic is the right version. They repair the amp when sent in, or they replace the whole amp.
  7. Amy can not attend...she will be on or just getting back from a long vacation... I should be there, but I'm not as cute as Amy.
  8. To be fair, the CS team did not have that schematic until today... They have rules in place to keep production information in house...If the amp is in production, don't give out the schematic. The main EE that would have been able to answer your question was in China when you contacted us. Who ever you contacted just didn't think to ask me. I would have sent you the info about the part, with out sending the schematic. As you state in your post, it is a 100k Ohm part. As for parts, we don't have any for that amp, or for most any amp we build. They are all vendor replaceable or outside repair or buy a new amp. It's not like the old days when we kept board level parts in stock. So, IF they would have had the schematic and could have found the part info, they still could not send you a part. THX1215.pdf
  9. With just 2 rooms in Hope the demo would be limited. By that time we hope to have some "new" product coming from hope. So I can't say what you will see. It will be of top notch and you will be happy to play the classics on the system. BTW: I now listen to classical every day. I am finding that I like some more than others...I still can't say half the names of some of those guys.
  10. There would be the same kind of demos in either place. Less demo in hope but with a plant tour. More demos in indy. FYI: my evil mind is working over time...share with all your friends that they will not want to miss this event.
  11. BTW: I have my placqe up in the living room. Tell Christy thanks again for me.
  12. But I love it...IF we do a festival again, I will hire help to gard the stage so I can sleep in a bed. I had forgot what camping in Arkansas in June was like.
  13. I agree, if you don't plan to come, dont vote please
  14. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/145911/1495581.aspx#1495581 It looks like we will be supported again...good news! Now pick where you want to attend.
  15. Ok, it has been stated that we will hold the Pilgrimage in Indy this year, but I thought I would take a poll to see what you guys would like. [Poll]
  16. The event is free...everyone on the forum is welcome. We check out systems, the HQ and each other...the first two are much more fun. You let us know your coming and how many are with you. Then you show up and have fun. You never know what we will cook up. We have had live music, movies, this vs. that, give a ways, tent raisin, and tent holdin along with other things. There will be time and places to get food and drinks. For the most part, it last all day Sat with some extra stuff on Fri night and Sun morning. Come hang out, we make it fun.
  17. Same old rooms, so not a lot of space...Sat night may turn out to be real fun...Big speakers, big room, good seating...TBA All the rooms have DVD...
  18. Stew, I am trying to plan most things in side in the air. Come on out, we will take good care of you.
  19. Jub's with a sub? I think there should be Jubilee's included in the system demo. We don't have Jubilees up here and don't think we will be bringing them.
  20. FYI: from the inside...I see many new projects heading to Hope to be built...thoes guys down in Hope are so busy now that they are working weekends. So far So good! Thanks for the good thoughts.
