  1. No worries, LarryC and dtel! I don't have any good pics at the moment - it's under strict lock and key, but I can tell you it's a lovely space. Very professional. It's mostly a visual display of our models (all brands) because of the sheer number that we have, but we can set up listening demos if given a little notice. I took this photo in there a couple weeks ago..you can see a little in the background.
  2. Haha, one would think so. It's overrated. I've always said to take Garage Sale discussions (from both sides) about price or other hagglings off the forum into private messaging, but I don't police it constantly. I don't want to be too heavy-handed. But when people jump in just to tell someone they are being ridiculous about a price, especially if they are not a buyer, that seems a bit much. Not a huge deal, just something to keep in mind. We should let the original poster get back to selling his La Scalas, however.
  3. I think it's fine to discuss current asking prices on the main part forum, just not in regard to specific sales posts here. I find it a bit rude to the seller. If someone buys speakers without doing any research, that's their choice.
  4. Exactly. Sellers are welcome to sell at what they deem worthy without people jumping on their thread criticizing. If they don't sell, they don't sell.
  5. We actually do have a full showroom now - where the cafeteria used to be. Please contact our sales rep for Indiana to set up a demo - Mark Hittle 317-860-8779
  6. Whoa, what a great piece of history! Who is he to you?
  7. One more, just for the classic basketball uniforms alone, 1904. Great-grandpa George, floor, right. Lafayette High School (founded in 1903), Buffalo, NY. I really do love old pics. Satisfies two of my inner nerds: history and photography. Share yours if you have some!
  8. It looks like it might be! I haven't done much research on her yet...I haven't even discovered her first name, just that she was married to gggg-grandpa Stephen Someday I'll have time to dig into all this stuff...
  9. Wow, nice work! Thanks for doing that
  10. This isn't the great setting of the farmhouse with mule (so classic), but this could be the oldest photograph we have preserved in my family. Great-great-great-great grandma, dated 1856. I haven't tackled touching it up yet. I kind of like the oldness look of it, anyway. I actually have a few images of great-greats from the late 1800s. I love that my family kept them all these years... it's interesting to see how photography has changed - some are on hard coated glass instead of paper. I think it's nerdily cool, anyway.
  11. I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles. My thoughts are with you both. Be sure to get yourself some rest.
  12. I'm confused as to what you're trying to do exactly. Can you give more details? The DD 5.1 is a non-amplified digital decoder box that is used when you are sending a digital signal to an analog amplified system, such as the ProMedia systems. You do not have to use them together to use the DD 5.1, you just need to have it connected properly to whatever it is you are trying to do.
  13. I'd be curious to know exactly what is wrong with her hands.
  14. Not including the one guy who wants $500 bucks for it on ebay. Our desperation has limits.
  15. Nice! I do, but I'm going through a softer-tone less-contrast phase at the moment. It comes and goes with my moods And of course, all photos are different. I just play with them until I like how they look.
  16. So true! Same with birds, or any wild animal really. I always shoot critters in the wild...not much challenge in zoos or cages to me, although you certain can get some great shots there. I prefer the challenge over the result, though. I followed this little guy around for a while before he held still long enough for a shot. It was fun trying
  17. Hooray, I love bug pictures almost as much as birds! Love the bee, but boo on more snow. In Arkansas?
  18. You're welcome, and thank you! The plant manager looked at the photos and did say that was excessive, but won't hurt anything. It's better to have more rather than less to prevent buzzing from the board. He will address it, though!
  19. I will send the photos to the plant to find out.
  20. There are some artists that you just won't find, for whatever reason. Usually artist refusal to participate, from what I can tell. Royalties and such. Here's some more info I found on it, along with other artists.
