Please read the post "goodbye Klipsch", on the promedias! You don't have to worry about anything "smoking" the promedias-they do it themselves, quite well.

Belial- I have an Onkyo TX-8511 Stereo receiver hooked up to Quintets. I get crisp, clear sound. I purchased the Onkyo for there simple, no frills operation. The unit I have, as all Onkyo have, uses a larger motor. I have my receiver hooked up to my computer, and I play internet jazz thru it with wonderful results. Clean music, commercial free. I've had a lot of enjoyment using Formbys furniture refinisher. Also Formbys furniture cleaner is another great product, that for me, has worked taking out blemishes in wood products without alot of work. ------------------ Bill

checked out the site again. You might notice that they haven't updated there site since Aug 2001. Prices seem high to me, YAWA.com has better prices,i don't know if they carry what your looking for . let me know -bill

Haven't purchased from them-because of there Yahoo 2 star rating, plus there shipping costs seem to be very high compared with other dealers. In addition I just didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling about the products offered, or the web site in general. (the saying -if it sounds to good.....) let me know what you are buying.

Onkyo reviews show that they have good internal construction. I personally like the simple, easy , no nonsense operation of there receivers. No flash and bang, just good quality, simple operation. ------------------ Bill

For a good inexpensive Stereo receiver i like Onkyo tx8511. For HT go with Denon 1801 at Wal Mart. The price is 369.00. They also have the 2801 at a resonable price also. Just my view. Let me know. Bill

Hi- I am assuming your going with Klipsch. Go to the Klipsch web site. They have information on which speakers work well together. Takes the guessing out of the buying equation! Let us know your decision. Bill

Hey-FYI Wal-Mart,(yes that's correct), is selling the older, 1801 and 2801. For the money you'll save you might be able to buy more Klipsch speakers! (1801 is selling for about 369.00.) Let me know Bill

When I try to connect my computer to my receiver to play internet radio, my receiver (Onkyo TX-8511) makes a loud humming noise. Don't have Aux input on rear of receiver. Where do you suggest I connect to that will stop this humming? (Regular fm,(non-computer) works fine. Help- Hooked up my Onkyo TX-8511 (stereo) receiver to my computer, to play internet radio thru my receiver hums loudly, (not when I play regular FM stations). FYI- If anyone out there is retired military or in the reserves. You can purchase Klipsch speakers at the AFFES store, from what I can tell they have great prices. Visited the Indy Ovation, on 82nd street today, heard the SB-2. Salesman was a little snooty, but not bad. Price was right in dealer specs, no deal there. Clean nice store. As many Ovation stores there are in Indy, I'd think you'd find one that would work.
