  1. Ja...der speaken za deutch...my German...thought about going to Belgium but guessing they have some decent beer in Holland as well. Guess you will have OP going Pro with nowhere to sit, but hay...cool...; )
  2. Alright cool then. Guessing those Revels will sound decent, please post what you think of them. No, all I am sayinf is, either knockoff $100 for the new 280's or $100 off of the used 260's. It just makes me wonder abit about what difference between new 260 versus new 280's. Yes, if you feel comfy enough. Know you are not buying a car but, still your money. I like it when salespeople are going back and recrunching numbers. Lets me know they want to talk biz....:)
  3. So used with 2 year warranty for $898 (260f)...the new 280f for $1108 for $200 more...!?! Sure looks to me there is some wiggle room there. Needs to sweeten deal abit...imo Say by $100 at least...; )
  4. It sure would be nice to get the 280's for $898 bargain. That said, you are doing the wheelin' and dealin'. Just always remember, you are the one holding the green and holds some sway. I would push it while making a joke is one way to break the ice. Glad you found some opinions. Looking like a plan forming.

    Klipsch Caps

Been waiting for someone to knockoff my cap. Alright, I deserved that, but I can take it!?! As much as I threadcrap I guess. Ya'll got me. I can dish it out but, can I take it...Thanks, what a hoot!
  6. Some deals there. Even the 52's The 61's are sought out at times. The 440-c have heard desired some at times. Looking good so far. Auctions not over, right so... Something nice may jump up when looking at quick sales, if many. Cool... The SW350 some like the sound.
  7. Keep in mind, that different sales people often employ differing tactics like a time limit on the price. They should know that some buyers have the time to make a good decision since you may live with it/them for awhile. This can be artfully used to your advantage at some point to your advantage. You are after all wanting Klipsch and, it is up to the sales person to make the sale. That can include an upgrade to say the center speaker, or say the fronts to 28. After all your money and time looking for a nice bargain is the word. If knowing you may go for used or other options you may be contemplating well, the ball is in their court, or if chess...checkmate.
  8. BTW, take it you already have the Denon? Who knows, before the 14 days are over, the Klipsch store may make you an offer(upgrade) for the same money you cannot refuse. Have heard a pair of the M-series and they sounded very nice. Have not heard the RP- line much but know this. Have never heard a Klipsch speaker series that sounded other than nice and decent. All my limited opinion... Have not heard the RF-63 but, will take the word of the members here and have never been disappointed...
  9. There are differing opinions of mixing matching different series. You can to a degree do so but, having a matching set is best, especially if resell comes up. Here in the states we have different outlets as well as dealers for Klipsch. The RF-3 as well as other ref. first mentioned was the earliest line with even a version mkII The RF-,52, 62, 82,3 came later. I would look for good used or new front speakers, bookshelve, center of the RF-line say a RF-63, with RC-62, and RB-61. After that, all you need is a sub. Since there is this new RP line of speakers, deals are to be had by buying used, or looking to other outlets for those RF new that are still in the pipeline at a bargain. It is good you have time to look...Who knows, you may find an entire set worth the trip to go get...while you may love the RP, it is said the RF line is a tier up from that series. Good hunting
  10. Was just thing along what may be similar lines of thinking. You could always find a reference line of speakers one step at a time. While they all play their part starting with the two fronts or tower speakers, which more or less define the final 5.1 system typically is a good place to start. Maybe then the bookshelves if ind a deal could be used as fronts temporarily and then shoved to the rear later on. A center is most important as to many things you are doing. Some would start there. Your sub could come into it last. There is all kinds of ways to go about it piecemeal, as your imagination, opportunity, economics and patience will allow. To be honest, even a set of RB-bookshelves will be a great and wonderful improvement over your sound now, as you have explained it.
  11. If used or new, look for price and 5.1 set of RF-52, RF-62, RF-63(nice), RF-82, RF-83 even. Take note to condition price, etc. There can be speakers that may be too big or overkill for your size room. No problem, you have the ability to turn down volume. Bigger is better some of us say, related to the physics here. Yes the guy(Revel) was giving you sales talk for a reason, mainly money...imo
  12. Yes am thinking smallish listening room now that you mention square feet. Ceiling height? Hear from folks here Revel is a decent and yes expensive brand. The ones you are looking at buying will do wonders for your situation. Do some research on the Premeire Klipsch speakers. You may not find a lot as a new line of Klipsch speakers. So, the ones mentioned should do you good. Would be nice to have a bigger sub but, would work for now. Or you may say after setting up that, your search is over. If you want to try your hand at good used with known quality, look at the Reference line of Klipsch in your used search. There are RF-3, RF-5. and the legend already of the RF-7. These are all front speakers but, some have been used for 2 channel music as well as their forte' of HTheatre. Look at the centers and bookshelfs that match. Go to Klipsch.com here at near top of page to look for individual and what was planned to go with those mentioned. Having closely matched set speakers is preferred. Do a search then and, are we on course communication wise? Bookshelf for Ref. line use this...RB-3, RB-5, ....etc... Center speaker...RC-3...etc... Of course the Premeire line is using RP- r

    Klipsch Caps

Posting this here because, laid back discuss. If better place, please move it mod., or even delete...lol! Speaking of mods. had a short conversation on the topic of Klipsch logoed caps for hot weather wear. Jist was Klipsch was looking at the issue. Have a Klipsch knockoff cap that has been noticed by pedestrians roundabout and has given me a chance to expound upon the virtues of Klipsch speakers. Mesh type in light or dark color would work. Just guessing they would get popular as, it gets hot even up north. Down here, well anymore it is hot most of the time. Am a hothead anyway so...nuff said. Thanks!
  14. Yes me and others here could help you with that. I started to ask if there were a craigslist you use or other. Yes the system you are looking at is for home cinema and sounds like it may work in your space, if I interpret you correctly. If not and it is much bigger than I think, you will need bigger Klipsch speakers. Going to the 28's for a lot more is not a good move. Keep in mind when searching Klipsch that a lot of them can be used for home cinema. It has been done for years by members here. If you can use Dollars versus euro and feet versus mm, it would help me. Others are more sophisticated as to metric than I. It would be nice to buy once if possible something more desireable for your budget and room size. Klipsch imo. If your room is on the small side, the speakers mentioned would work until later. So yes, if time you have let us know what you find for a deal, we can assist...@Moonwalker1982
  15. Meanwhile, what size room are you planning on for a Home Cinema (HT)? Are you looking just to get into a system now and upgrade later? Is there another Klipsch system that is larger that is available from seller? Sorry for the 3rd degree, yet some groundwork is helpful. Thanks!
  16. Welcome to the forum! Sounds as if you have done some calculating. Other's here will have some input for you. Do not know Euro's well enough to say but, there is a solution you appear to be considering. Cheers.
  17. Nice score there K5S$...yessir, looks complete, lolol...congrats. Looks like the ssteal d eal…;)
  18. Have a Styx and a Bellamy Brothers lp here. Do not know if I can load it. Cannot see the pics load that K5S$ posted above. Maybe it was a TT...King Crimson ^^^+++++There is a youtube of KC in Japan live. Takes about 5 minutes to come to audible volume while fans are talking, laughing, wondering.
  19. If it feels right do it. Maybe you can hear them play. $450 would be nice but hay...let us know if you want...are you on the way or there already, lol.
