  1. Yes Hope would be cool. One day I may go there. That would save some mileage. Have heard those R-15M and they sounded decent to me.
  2. Yes what a bunch of horse dookey. We shall see.
  3. Wow, that Frank Black sounds really cool! Thanks for the turn on... Sounds like a pheromone(sp) at the beginning. Farm out!
  4. Dang, glad you have patience and other Klipsch to get you through the wait. There is a Pony Express thread for members trying to hope out members in like situations. Sometimes it works for some. Think it is in the garage sale section FWIW. And as you may know already, sometime members give a shoutout when they are travelling with the room to spare.
  5. Yes I think you will be happy with them. Actually made sense for me after the Chorus but, got offtrack with other Klipsch offerings. No regrets though with the KG's that have had and forte's, others. The physics in the end appear where I wanted to go all along. Larger! Hope you can get them back to your state soon... Edit: Every type of music have thrown at it from different sources all let me know what I have been missing. Versatile speaker...imo.
  6. Report post Posted just now Gia wants to know.... LOL, take your pick. Tough question... Wish I knew!, lol...thanks for asking Gia.!
  7. As good as the Chorus sounds with refreshed crossovers, the LaScala's are such an open, revealing set that I was surprised YouTube sounds as good as it does, on select recording of course. When doing cassette, cd player, and last night streaming for the first time, I am still much impressed. Will eventually change AL too AA or AL-3 after more listening and research here. Can only imagine what some decent vinyl will sound like. After reading about all that was missing in the bass dept., over the years, the fear of not having enough bass worried me. Well, worried no more. It is really nice. Happy in Florida Was just catching up on the other thread. What's not to like...lol...Thanks! Oh and FM...classical/pipe organ...
  8. Yes maybe man! Looks like a plan for someone! Cool!
  9. Well f me! That package of espresso pack with cups that I got for Christmas are whole beans, best if used by Feb 17. And get this, they are whole beans and not ground, as thought ad stated. Imagine my consternation at this turn. So, going to order a scale and a grinder and read here back pages to sort it out. Oh well, maybe it was when my eyeglasses(new) were in the mail. What else am I missing?
  10. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!! Cheers to all FR...
  11. Stock and in good condition, think very good , maybe $300 tops for a pair. The T-5000 maybe a touch more...maybe. Sold a pair of the T-500(decent) to a forum member awhile back for $200. Needed new grill cloth.
  12. My earliest and later memories are back then, you could drive along the beach. That was fun but, some got stuck.
  13. Yes traffic was a hassle at times like that and the 500/400 races I attended over the years. Was my go to place for events/vacations. Last 400 in 85 had motel to avoid traffic. Petty's last win...
  14. That would have been a cool time to live there. Called it a Disco but maybe not correct. Had a ball though. lol...
  15. Lol, yes that Sansui was a keeper alright... Live and learn. Got a H/K TD-202 cassete player that is sounding pretty nice at the moment. Now to find where I put a lot of the cassettes.
  16. Cannot recall now but while it was the Beach, it was not the pier itself over the water. This was 97. A large place though.
  17. Lol, sounds like funtime to me. Sounds like you were the soundman Some of the best music have heard was RTR...somebody was a DJ then playing 2 turntables at party. Yes no room in my repertoire for Rap, although our garage band had. A Disco ball at Hope may be just the happening thing, lol Maybe a little Disco for the morning after. You have seen girls dancing together. The night club in Daytona saw me dancing solo. Around that time. I did it once again in Ocala night club of all places. Lost my balance and busted my ***. Got up and found my seat
  18. Yes man, I was a flapper and a dancing fool, but did not wear platforms. Did have some wooden clogs though. Had to stop wearing them inside. Ex thought either a horse or Boris Karloff was stalking the house. If not the music, sometimes the environment is fun to take in. This one place in Daytona had a nice ambience, that is the word. Aloof like Saturday night. Shadow danced and walked back to hotel. Their CD's are usually well recorded and mindless when driving. Try it, lol...
  19. Have a Bee Gee cd in her Volvo and an ABBA in mine... was not a Disco Duck kind of guy though...
  20. Sorry to hear this Mark and family. Daughter and all had to have made a very large difference in the dear one's life. Thank You!
  21. Good afternoon LaScala are keepers Steve. Will never forget Mardi Gras 71 and 72. The stories I could tell but may have already. Mobile, Al. had and may still have their celebration.(A trip) Hoping the 6 weeks of winter still applies here. Nice looking peppers. I' would drink it Dave. Purple azaleas are starting to bloom. Hope all are well.
