  1. I'm pretty sure the store I work at has an old Sony BDP-S1 set up for display that is upconverting to 1080i over component. Maybe the new ones don't.
  2. Thats pretty sweet. I talked to a guy that picked his Heresy II's up for $35 for the pair. I all but cried that someone would just throw these away like that.
  3. Hi,I was just talking to a guy that purchased a pair of Heresey II's at Value Village (thrift store) for $35. Perfectly fine except one of the dust caps is missing. Is it possible to replace just the dust cap, or deoes the whole driver need to be replaced?
  4. Hey all, I'm looking at buying a pair of RF-35's and an Onkyo 8222 amplifier. My question is, on the amp, are speaker outputs "A" and "B" balanced so they can be used for Bi-Wiring or am I better off just tying two runs of wire into each binding post on speaker set "A"? Basically, i want to Bi-Wire the RF-35's, connecting one set of terminals to Speaker set "A", and the other terminal to Speaker set "B" If this doesn't work, any suggestions onn other amps that would allow me to do this? Thanks
  5. I can't really speak for faroudja, but I've played with the 875 at work and the Reon chip blew me away. We hooked up the Onkyo DV-SP405 upconverting dvd player to a Samsung 1080P LCD (I cannot remember the model off hand) over HDMI. At the same time we ran S-Video to the 875 and HDMI from there to the TV. The quality difference in upconversion between the DVD player and the 875 was incredible; everything was clearer and sharper through the 875 and the colors that much more pronounced. With that said, I'm not quite sure what chip set the DV-SP405 is using to upconvert, would be interesting to see a Faroudja vs. Reon demo. Maybe something I'll try at work. Ultimately, I'm not a big fan of double processing, too much opportunity for more artifacts, but the only way to be sure is to try it out.
  6. I believe London Drugs will be carrying the Headphones, though no word from H.O. or Klipsch as to expected dates or prices. Please correct me if I am wrong.
