  1. Good Morning everyone !! I realize that generally speaking in a 2 channel system, a tube pre amp with a SS amp is considered superior to a SS pre with a tube amp. Along that same thought process, I was wondering since I use my same system for both Movies and Stereo listening, does anyone make a good 7.1 / 7.2 tube Pre Amp or is a Marantz SS as about as good as I will find for this ?? Thoughts please ?? Roger
  2. 4 Mark, So glad you posted these smiley faces after closing the deal Mark !! To late to erase them now and everybody gets to see how you really are !! Roger

  4. You do realize that electrons flow on the surface of a conducter and not through it right ?? I have Silver plated 10 Gauge Copper, is that OK ?? LOL !!
  5. Scooter, I agree with Jim. Those first two pictures are oak and that third picture is Walnut. Go to www.oakwoodveneer.com and pick out any veneer you like and do them both completely over. Roger
  6. No drama Jim, I just am not working right now because of my car accident. You are Marks buddy and he knows you wont screw him. He said he likes the K-55Ms and I just want to voice match both my daughters split LaScalas and he slant monitor Heresy's. If he is willing, what I propose is these K-55Ms look just like new as do your K-55V solder terminals. I would sell him the pair of K-55Ms for $250. I can provide pictures for him if he wants. I would have Mark give you the $250 because he can trust you. As soon as you assure me you have the $250 in hand, I will send you the balance of $50 and ship Mark the K-55ms. You don't send me the K-55V solder terminal till you have both my money and Marks AND until Mark gets these K-55Ms. No way for the two of you to get screwed and all three of us get what we want. These K-55Ms will be taken out of the split LaScalas, and have never been removed. The slant monitor Heresy's came with K-55V push pins bu8t I have a single pair of K-55V solder terminals to put into them. I hope this is a good thing fort all three of us. Roger Gordon
  7. Mark, I want these K-55 Solder terminals of Jims, but I have both an extra paIR OF k-55 PUSH PIMS AND i ALSO HAVE AN EXTRA PAIR OF k-55mS. I KNOW THE K-55m plays a little hotter. Are you interested in paying Jim for my K-55M sompression drivers towards my puschase of these from Jim ?? Roger

  10. Wow !! I loved seeing all those old Thunderbolts and Starliners !! I am surprised I didn't see my buddies 1955 Cammer Powered Thunderbird he won the Winter Nationals with. Dyno Don Nicholson used to rent out my buddies upstairs in Romulus, Michigan and work on his cars in my buddies shop when he would come racing in Michigan in the summer. Last I knew, he still had a few old pieces off of some of Dons Cars. I also saw a picture or two of Earl Wade who I have met a few times and is also an old friend of my buddies. Mot in the pictures, Ohio George Montgomery is another friend of my buddy that I have met on a few occasions. And, Jack Rousch used to work in Engineering at Ford with my buddy and my buddy used to do Jacks machining before Jack went out on his own. Alot of nice old cars there !! Roger
