  1. bi-wiring rf-7's doesn't actually bypass the crossover, does it?
  2. HPower, sounds like a pretty good plan. The 2325 is nice and i did like the 2330 with my '81 heresies...much more so than the khorns.
  3. Recently had a 2330 (higher powered version of 2325) and scott 299c with my khorns recently. Scott 299c is the winner hands down with the khorns in my room to my ears.
  4. Have khorns with an mc250. I would describe the guitar sound on certain songs the same as you are describing. You might try to listen to this combo if you can.
  5. I have the same sub and run it with the klipshorns and like it a lot adding that sub 40hz bottom end. But my khorns have killer bass by themselves. Natural, tight. btw, have you ever tried putting that sub right next to your listening position? If you love bass you have to try that.
  6. This is interesting to me as I am in a similar situation. New khorn owner starting out with older solid state mac stuff but interested in tubes as well. I appreciate your views and look forward to your impressions of the other equipment you are getting.
  7. I'd like to get any thoughts on comparing these two units. My setup is klipschorns and an mc250 amp. Anyone have any experience with these two? Each of these is available right now on the used market. Also have a pair of forte II's and heresies, but the klipshorns are my mains. Tim
  8. jhawk92, how do you like the quicksilver horn monos? I have been considering those with my new (81's) klipshorns. Also wondering what other forum members might think. Currently I am using a marantz 2330 receiver with my klipschorns. Tim
  9. Anyone know of a person that will restore a fisher 1800 near arkansas? I'd much rather drive it to someone than ship it.
  10. Any advice out there on how to anchor the rf-7's? My floor is carpet over a concrete slab. I took off the stock footers and currently have brass spikes going through the carpet and contacting the concrete. I hear that spiking into concrete is not the best.
