These drivers take up to a month to fully break in so don't go too far with adjustments, it will change for the better.

I would think the t18 would be a bit small, and the measurements are corner loaded, so in the middle of the room it might be a bit underwhelming, the t45 has a footprint that might work well as a coffee table 24x45xvariable. Your build came out exceptional, hopefully you can find a placement that works!
The middle of the room is likely not the best place for the sub. Corner placement is recommended for a reason but you can always experiment.

Where. Did you find the build plans? I’d like to build one or two of these using either two 8” inch drivers or one 10” inch driver
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIf you're going to spend the time building any of these spend the little money and get the latest plans. It includes free updates and makes for a bit easier to build, better finished product.

Likely the recording if that's the case. If not post back.

Is it random or certain track related ?

Have you tried snugging up the screws on the crossover ? Common after storage unless you already checked it over.

If the serial numbers are not sequential they are likely not the same, things like wood grain, color, grille cloth and terminal cups will vary.

Veneer is expensive, 1/8" BB is cheap.

Good idea. But it’s already almost too big. I’m hesitant to make it even larger.
Can't say i blame you.
If it really bothers you an alternative would be buy a 1/8" BB panel and go right over it.

@SWL Although won't fit in your car.

If you use a brad nailer instead of screws you end up with pin head sized fill spots.
If placing a panel on top you will need to strip all the oil off before gluing it on.

@jason str Are there any car audio woofers that work just as well that you've used or tested? I guess it would be just making sure it falls within the Fs, Qts, and Vas and make sure the depth works as Bill listed. I have access to various brands of car audio woofers I can buy for cost and possibly find one in a dual 8-ohm version so I can run a stereo amp on it. That is if I go with the Rockford RF2000 home amp I have. Otherwise, it may be one of the Dayton "plate amps" with DSP.
There used to be, not sure there available anymore.
As long as it falls within the parameters and front mountable you will be good.

Can't beat free. Very generous of you.

Oil is nice but offers little protection. Is that Baltic Birch you used ?
If you like the natural look a good wax works too but needs reapplication same as oils. Wax tends to hide fillers better as it does not darken after application.
Many choices and not a bad one in the bunch.

Wrap them in moving blankets and move with a 2 wheel dolly.

Jason,
I don't know how good her hearing is. I do know that my stupid *** gave her permanent Tinnitus playing music way to loud when she was an infant.

Hope not.

Hey Diz :D,
What K-77 and K-55 drivers do you prefer?
I want to make these slant monitors for my daughter, the best that they can be. They came with K-77 round Alnico tweeters, K-55V push pins and K-42 Woofers.
My plan is that I have extra K-55V dual phase plug solder terminals, will buy some K-77 mud magnets and keep them all Klipsch.
Thoughts ??
Rog
If your daughter still has good hearing she may enjoy a tweeter that reaches 20,000 Hz.

Cheap, easy & most durable is truck bed liner.
Duratex is good.
Stain & poly looks nice too.
If you go solid color and want a smooth finish prep is everything and there is lots of surface area to cover, keep the extra work in mind if you go that route.

Call the local hardware stores. Maybe they will do front door pickup with a call ahead of time, wear gloves and slip them cash and any change for the tip.
Never mind i see you can't leave.

Broke out the old headphones last week to find the ear foam deteriorated to dust, funny thing was the foam in the original packaging was like new.
One would think the earpiece required a better material.
Just received a replacement set of foam and will give them a workout later.
