  1. Greg, I would love to come hear your speakers sometime. Much Respect. [Y] Sterling
  2. Amy, we just had a baby boy and we have given him the nickname "Shorthorn".......the baby clothes with a Shorthorn logo on it would be super cool.
  3. Some great stuff! I know what to get for the family now for Christmas. []
  4. I really like my Carver stuff....and it did great with LS.
  5. Congratulations Sterling! Great new music from Rick and your wife and baby are home. durn it Rick. I almost didn't enter as I've won previously but figured the odds against me..... but forgot my Oppo does play DVD-Audio and SACD discs. Or just never bothered to find out. I think I've passed on one or two out trolling for new music at the local pawn shops and thrift stores. [:'(] Hopefully nothing I'd really like like Steely Dan. Most pawn shops can't give away CD's for $1. One here in town used to charge $3 now $2 and said they only take in CDs as a favor to their regulars. But. They have some good stuff. Neil Young's Live At Massey Hall 1971 being probably my best find. 1971. One of the best sounding CD's I have IMVHO. Analog reel to reel. From the Neil Young Archives. Neil actually cares about sound quality though so any of his newer releases will be as good as it's going to get. I'm not so sure that at least some of the archives aren't tapes from his personal collection he had recorded during his concerts? I may be speculating but there was an interview in Stereophile a few years back with Neil Young and I think he talked about his archives but how excited he was to be able to kick up the sound quality with DVD-Audio or SACD. I think it was DVD-Audio. I was going to send that issue to Klipsch Forum Neil Young affeciando Loud N' Clear (Kimbal) but couldn't find it so had probably pitched it. Near the time when Sam Tellig (?) went all googly eyed over how good the LaScala II's sounded after visiting one of Italy's top architects who's villa was perched I think on a mountain side and Thank you Ben!
  6. Ahh Rick, that's awesome! Thank you so much, you're a great guy for doing that. Got home today about 1:00 MST.....very nice to be home with baby and wife.
  7. I will have to try that sometime. There is a lot of bass talk about the LS but I love the clean bass mine produce. It's nothing like the Khorns low end but they're not supposed to be, it;s a different animal.
  8. A little bit of a set back today.......due to the long labor my wife developed a fever and passed it to my son durring delivery. He is ok but, the doctors are now saying we can't bring him home until Friday night because of an infection he has. I am pretty bummed but I have to be thankful that he and my wife are both ok. Thanks for all the great comments guys. This is a great community. [H]
  9. .......and momma shine is doing much better. She scolded me about my diaper changing skills so she must be getting back to normal. []
  10. Thanks everyone. This is our first child, I am excited to get him home. I have a pair of Heresys in his room, I will be powering them with a 15WPC T-amp......not too bad right?
  11. I am pretty stoked about the " Top Notch" from JB! [H]
  12. Thanks guys! I think he is going to change my music listening habits for some time to come.
  13. I am not sure how many of the 2 channel guys have those speakers. Maybe the HT guys might know more? I've heard they are really great sounding but didn't have a long production run. Hope others will chime in soon.
  14. Damn Rick! That is beautiful, I love Marantz gear! [Y]
  15. Now you have to relisten to your whole collection again. Isn't it great to feel the music from them? At my place it's like they grab the wall and become part of the house and the whole room becomes alive.
  16. Welcome to the club (if that doesn't sound stupid) they are amazing speakers. I was buying every Klipsch speaker I could until I got Klipschorns, now I could really care less.......except for Jubs. Sterling
  17. A friend of mine gave me this unit today (model 1) It's missing the felt pad on top but otherwise is in good condition,it's almost 30 years old now. I have been using the Spin Clean when I buy used LPs but I think this should work better right? Anyone else use one of these?
  18. My mc2505 and C22 are by far my favorite sounding amps that I have and I run them with Klipschorns. The few tube amps I have & have owned don't hold up the SS macs.
