  1. Tough loss. Well that probably just secured Manning the MVP spot.
  2. http://www.lukeford.net/profiles/profiles/steven_seagal1.htm Not sure how true this is but if even half of it is true ugh. Had no idea. I must of been living under a rock somewhere.
  3. Really? 7th-dan black belt in aikido. And he began his adult life as an aikido instructor in Japan. He was the first foreigner to operate an aikido dojo in Japan. He has made a career as a martial artist, an actor, a recording artist, and a law enforcement officer. Hes been a huge environmentalist and animal activist. Seriously, wheres the phony in all of that?
  4. Oh I see. Congrats on the deal. You got a nice speaker there. The II's have the tractrix mid and the fifteen inch passive on the rear. That tractrix is smooth as silk when you pour on the volume. Has a small sweetspot though but has great voicing.
  5. amusing to answer you honestly. The Forte's are the only klipsch speakers ive owned that can sound sonically perfect across the board with all types of music ( anything). Powerful and spacious in movies.. The klfs are fantastic rock n roll speakers, with excellent kick drum bass..bass as flat and as it gets. where the forte s bass seems to be more spacious and seems to present a wider sound stage IMO.. side by side I prefer the forte's because the imaging is very pleasant where the klfs can sometimes be a bit harsh and in your face. .
  6. So you bought Fortes instead of Forte II's? You compared KLF's against original Fortes? People get confused as they type and assume these are two in the same which actually there is quite a bit of difference between the two. So you were orginally going to buy Forte II's but found a good deal on Fortes? Thats great but thats really a different animal. I'm just saying.
  7. Nicely done Dave. Glenn is a good guy with a great reputation. See Zeke, we've all known this for years. Glenn hasn't been running a top secret operation.
  8. Vikings as a team had a pretty poor game and lost their number one defender. The Cards had a great game not much more to it. As far as the division Rodgers had a couple INT's but the Packs defense did outstanding and the Bears are in a rebuilding stage.
  9. Geesh. Dave, you smack him you're closer.
  10. To take this point a bit further. Unless one has experienced a certain speaker in a persons room with the exact equipment listening to the exact same recording they don't actually know what that person is hearing anyways. It's all hearsay. I have and love Chorus II's and I've had so many different pieces of gear playing through them without actually seeing them sitting in the room you would swear it was a totally different speaker. My speakers sound d^^n good and will kick the sh^t out of me or anybody else that gives a listen. I've heard people throw around one speaker has a mountain curve and another has a smiley curve. I can't stand either I reach for a flat curve. Again thats my preference. Speakers, rooms , equipment, recordings and choice of music all have a tremendous effect on the end result. Klipsch speakers are very dynamic period. By the way I consider my self a big rocker/ metal fan and I never could warm up to the KLF series so go figure. To me they were sceamers. And don't even start Cornwall fans.
  11. I had a feeling. Thanks Bonzo. My Sansui 8080 drives them fine and sounds very good. That reference was to driving two pairs of RF-7's at the same time. I don't believe your Sansui would be up to the task either. I had my Chorus II's hooked up to Marantz 2325 for a long time. Then I decided it didn't have enough kick and I added a big QSC amp to the mix and wow did it wake up my speakers. The 2325 made for a very nice preamp with the QSC.
  12. Not a Cornhusker fan but that was the biggest injustice I've seen in college football. Watch any game and there is always a second or two or three lost waiting on the officials to blow the whistle. Somehow the officials decided that time should now be determined by replay not the normal whistle blowing of the game. Then Colt McCoy in the post game interview says "Oh there was plenty of time they just ran out on the field early. I had plenty of time." Heisman my a**.
  13. Can't help much with the identity but that is a very cool looking set. Always loved chess.[Y]
  14. Second that. I think alot of folks figure if its loud well it must be rockin. [bs]
  15. There is no flex in this family of speakers. Chorus II/ Forte II/ Quartet were built very very sturdy. Unlike some of the other offerings.
  16. I agree on price doesn't make much of a difference. Also the end result is to help the poster find satisfaction with his speakers. When he uses the term very bright and harsh it almost sounds as a room issue. I've just heard alot of folks talk highly of the Pioneer elite line with Klipsch speakers.
  17. Hey Russ, He has a 7,000 dollar receiver and a 1,700 dollar blue ray player and a 1,600 dollar SACD player and your calling his electronics what? They should be more than capable of the job. And your worried about what speaker wire he is using? Come on.
  18. 3-Way for slam! You are going to want that snare to thwack you updside the head. That takes a big midrange. Then you want that woofer to punch you in the gut. That takes a big woofer. Jubes being the exception to the rule!
  19. Yeah that was some descent guesses. But a couple of your assessments may have been in error. Farve has been the answer for the Vikes and if things stay on track the playoffs will go through Indy.
  20. Where is he compared with other quarterbacks as far as age goes ? Well only one quarterback in the history of the NFL has made the Pro Bowl at the age of 40 or older and that was Warren Moon. And not one quarterback at 40 or older has ever made a playoff game. So he is in uncharted waters.
  21. LOL! I wish Farve was 10 years younger because with that supporting cast you have up there, especially Peterson, you guys would win a bunch of superbowls.
