  1. Dear all, Colonel Klipsch passed away four years ago this day. long live the memory of Colonel Paul W. Mauro
  2. Started with Philips speakers, then had for a couple of years B&W. Discovered Klipsch at Milan Audio fair in 1980 and soon after got Cornwall I kept until 2001, now I have Klipschorns I hope for the remainder of mi life Mauro
  3. 1. What Heritage speakers have you owned, currently own, or want to own? 1989-2001 CornwallII now Klipschorn 2. What was your age when you first purchased a Heritage series loudspeaker? 27 3. What is your current age? 40 4. Why did you choose Heritage loudspeakers over another Klipsch model? Fell in love with sound. 5. If you currently own some Heritage loudspeakers, and could purchase some more Klipsch speakers(new or used), which ones would you purchase? Why? CornwallII Just because they were like my first love. 6. Do you think the upcoming Jubilee should become part of the "Heritage" line, since it was also designed by PWK? No, Klipsch should create for it a new highend line made of no-compromise speakers Mauro (& Klipschorn)
  4. Another pair of Klipschorns (zebrawood) Merry Xmas Mauro Speakers : Klipschorn (1999) Amplifier: Unison Research 845 Absolute (triodes, class A) Cd-player: Sony SCD-777ES (SACD & CD) Turntable: Pro-ject 6.9 Cartridge: Denon DL103 PhonoPre: Trigon Vanguard + Volcano Cables VDH The MainsStream, XLO Ultra, VDH D501 Silver, Mit TerminatorTube, VDH D352 room: 36*25*10 ft, no neighbours, music-loving wife
  5. With Heritage you shuold be driven by the search for quality of power, not quantity. Personally, I use with my Klipschorns a 40 watts per channel tube amp, which uses 845 tubes in A class. Even playing Mahler synphonies with their huge orchestras I think I never use more than 10 watts. Cheers Mauro (& '99 Klipschorns)
  6. Hi, I had Cornwall II from 1989 to 2001 now Klipschorns Cheers Mauro Klipschorn '99 Unison Research 845 Absolute Sony SCD777-ES Pro-ject 6.9 with Denon DL103 Trigon Vanguard phono pre with Volcano power supply Cables: VanDenHul, XLO & MIT room 36' X 24' x 10'
  7. maybe, I log in from italy which is about 7 hours forward of Hope... Cheers Mauro (&99Klipschorns)
  8. If you're able to find one on Ebay, search for a Sony SCD777-ES. It's a 2-channel CD/SACD player which outperforms all but the most exotic players. Really good at SACDs but it's almost a bonus, it shines with plain redbook CDs. I heard it was sold greatly underpriced just to launch the new medium. Ciao Mauro (& '99KHorns)
  9. really a wonderful job. There's a way to get a couple of them ?? Cheers Mauro (& '99 KHorns)
  10. Arena, if you think RF7's are massive you never saw Klipschorns!!! However, horn loaded speakers have a fault, so to say, they're so detailed that are absolutely unforgiving to poorly recorded material and wants (especially Heritage...) top class electronics... Mauro (& '99 KHorns)
  11. 1. What Heritage speakers have you owned, currently own, or want to own? Had Cornwall II from 1989 to 2001, Now I have Klipschorns 2. What was your age when you first purchased a Heritage series loudspeaker? 27 3. What is your current age? 40 4. Why did you choose Heritage loudspeakers over another Klipsch model? Just because of their sound. I heard KHorns for the first time when I was 17, but I got money & corners just last year. I was really happy with CW, however. Too bad I couldn't retain them... 5. If you currently own some Heritage loudspeakers, and could purchase some more Klipsch speakers(new or used), which ones would you purchase? Why? Heresy. Great sound in a compact size 6. Do you think the upcoming Jubilee should become part of the "Heritage" line, since it was also designed by PWK? YES!!!!!! Cheers Mauro & '99 KHorns
  12. Knew about the death of PWK only today. Yes, me too I'm feeling like I've lost a relative. Tonight my KHorns will play "Marcia Funebre per la Morte di un Eroe" from Beethoven's Third. It seems to me the right music to remember him. We will miss him deeply. Mauro
  13. Read the news about heritage coming back. Yesterday evening I had the sensation my Khorns were smiling.... Cheers Mauro
  14. dear R, it's all a matter of electronics, even though CD's and Lp's plays a part. Try a really good tube amp and you'll be happy. Klipschorn are HIGH END speakers and deserves only the best. The best sounding amp I've ever heard whith Khorns is UNISON 845 Absolute 45W pc Class A triode amplifier. See it at www.unisonresearch.com Cheers Mauro (and '99 KHorns)
  15. Being a Cornwall II owner, I totally agree with a move to put Cornies back into production, they have a wonderful sound!!! I found a report about Cornwalls on a Belgian site: http://www.belgaudio.com/kcmap.htm Cheers SPFRSS try quote: Originally posted by INKlipschFan: PLEASE, bring back the Cornwall speakers!! I know I would be very interested in a new pair thank you. Maybe if we all asked for it they (Klipsch) might consider it too? If you think this would be a good move, add your comment. Thanks Texts>
